Chapter 1

My eyes jolted open as the bus drove over a large pot hole. My whole body lurched to the side and my head hit the top bunk. I groaned and winced in pain. I was never going to get used to this small sleeping arrangement. I glanced to the side of my bunk and noticed Mike wasn't with me. We've been sharing a bunk since we got here and this is the first time that I woke up without his long arms dangling over my body.

I slid back the curtain and jumped out of our top bunk to the left. I held my breath on the way down, focusing on keeping my balance. I steadied myself and let out a small breath before slowly making my way into the kitchen for water. I opened the small fridge and got a hold of a water bottle. I balanced myself and casually sat down on the couch before opening my water bottle and taking a few sips. I starred out the window with only one thought on my mind. Where was Mike?

Mike's POV

I couldn't sleep. Her elbow was dug into my ribs and I was sweating. I don't mean small drops. I mean soaking wet.

I haven't gotten much sleep since this tour started two weekS ago. I wasn't sure if it was the tour excitement or maybe the performing nerves, you know pre-game jitters. But whatever it was, it was starting to get real annoying.

I wondered what time it was. The bus was still moving and I lost track of time while I was watching Holland sleep. I sighed and dug around for my phone. Finally finding it, I unlocked it and saw it was only 4 a.m. HA only.

I groaned and pulled back the curtain, revealing Holland and I. I hopped out and closed the curtain behind me. Slowly, attempting to balance myself, I opened the door to the back room and locked it behind me. I seemed to be locking out a lot of things behind me lately. Holland has noticed but she hasn't said anything.

I flicked the television on but muted it and collapsed onto the black couch. I relaxed my head against the arm rest, starring towards the television but not really watching it. I lifted my sock-less feet off the carpeted bus floor and rested them against the other arm rest.

I felt my eyes slowly begin to shut as the soundless television went to commercial and the street lights from outside began to dim. The sun was rising but I was falling.
