Heartbroken

Chapter 1

hey guys! this is my very first story, and i hope you guys like it! Ive never written a story before, so i dont really know how well this is going to go, but im willing to give it a try. okay, lets get to the story now!

Alaska's POV:

I jumped awake from the blaring of my alarm clock. I rolled out of bed and hit the snooze button.

"Alaska! Are you up yet?" my mother called.

"Yes, mom," I said drowsily.

I lazily went into my closet to pick out clothes, and after some deciding, I chose a pair of dark skinny jeans, and an aztec patterned blouse. I quickly got dressed and then walked into the kitchen.

"There's my baby girl," my mother said as she came and kissed my cheek.

"Mom," I whined, trying to conceal my scarlet face, "I'm sixteen years old. I'm an adult."

She chuckled. "Okay, okay. Food's on the table, then go get ready."

After I ate, I went back into the bathroom to do my essentials for the day. Then I threw on my old sneakers and headed into my car to leave for school.

After a short ten-minute ride, I was at the school. Despite the early morning, the Texas sun was beating down on me, and for once I enjoyed the heat.

There was at least 50 people on the school lawn. Everyone around me was laughing and talking, but that all stopped when I started to walk in their direction. What, never seen a new kid before?

But there was one person who didn't even bat an eye in my direction, and was completely oblivious to the suddenly hushed space because their head was stuck in a book. Right at that moment I wished I was reading, just so I could avoid all this attention.

I walked with my head down until I got into the school, which at the time was empty accept for a few people.

I went into the office and got my papers and a map of the school. I searched the halls for my locker, and when I found it, the first bell rang and high schoors piled through the doors.

I sighed and knew this day was going to be terrible.
