The following Monday after the trip to the hot springs the six of them were all in their clubroom. It was a slow day and they were all just doing their own thing. This week they didn’t have to work on their comic since Satou somehow got them to have a week off. They didn’t even have to be here, they could of all just gone to their dorms.
Asahina was reading their newest volume of their comic and suddenly threw it across the room. His eyes looked wide, scared, and serious, like he had walked in on Satou being naked. Disu looked up from looking at her assignment she had been given at dance practice, and asked, “ What’s wrong?”.
Asahina pointed at the book sadly and said. “In page 118 Umeko only has 4 fingers.”
“ Wouldn’t the editor notice tha- oh wait, nevermind”. Disu quickly shut her mouth after realization hit her.
“Eh what’s that suppose to mean?!” Satou shouted. Disu didn’t respond and continued examining the steps she was meant to practice for tomorrow. Satou looked sad and just sulked in the chair he was in.
After that the room became silent and everyone was still doing their own thing. It seemed really peaceful and it still remained that way whenever someone talked.
“Hmm I wonder, what’s everyone’s favorite character from our comic is .” Bunko asked. “Mine is Usami Furihata, she’s so small and fragile yet she always manages to keep being strong and move on.”
“ I don’t have any favorite character, I like all of them equally,” Disu said.
“I like Umeko and Shotaro.” Asahina said. “They’re attractive.”
“ I don’t like any of our characters”, Chisato stated.
“Don’t lie, I know you must like one of them at least.” Bunko said.
“ Nope”
“Just choose one.” Asahina said.
“ That student's desk in the first chapter. It suffered a lot of blows”.
After that sentence they all ignored him. They then turned to Satou. He looked happy when all of a sudden the attention was on him.
“I like the teacher, Kisumi Chiyo, he seems so relatable to me.” Satou said proudly. They smiled at this answer, except for Chisato who didn’t care, and then looked at Rintaro, who was laying down on the ground. They then looked away cause they knew that they would just say they hated them all.
The six of them then went back to what they had been doing. Chisato in particular, was sketching his favorite character from their comic. He knew the others didn’t believe him, but his favorite character was genuinely the student's desk from the first chapter. He wasn’t lying when he mentioned it had suffered many blows. There were scars all over that poor wooden desk. It was beaten up, yet still kept standing.
After about 10 minutes of silence they heard the sound of heavy footsteps going down the hall. They heard the other room door’s from next door being slammed open and then closed. The heavy steps were getting closer when finally the room door was swung open. They all looked at the door and saw a student with dark blue hair and teal eyes. Their eyes looked red and tired and they looked like a shivering lamb.
“Hi my name is Kohaku Hajime, age 18, gender pronouns are She/He, I am a senior!” They shouted. “I’m looking for Rintaro Ookitawa!”
All five of them pointed their pointer finger at Rintaro who was still lying on the floor. Rintaro looked over at the door. Realizing who it was, they very slowly got up. Like, it took them 3 minutes.
