Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff were good friends with each other and were quite close. Very close, in fact. It had always been a secret kept between the two–though Tony Stark had his suspicions–that late at night, the soldier and the spy would sometimes have... appointments. They were always careful of when and where they did it, yet some people say they saw Steve's car moving and shifting around in the corner of the parking lot, or they say they heard moaning and panting in Natasha's room. However, the two always played it cool and said that the shaking of Rogers's car was strong winds or the shadows of the trees playing tricks in people's minds, and the sounds from Natasha's room must have come from somewhere else.

One evening, Romanoff and Rogers were in their own rooms, having conflicted thoughts in their heads.

Natasha sat on her bed, staring at the wall in front of her. The place was silent. She had only just come back from a mission, which took three months and she hadn't seen Steve since then. She wondered if the only way he found out she was gone was because she wasn't there when he wanted sex. However, she knew he wasn't that type of man. She knows him. To others, Rogers is confident and displays happiness, unless it comes to his job. He usually liked to joke around and make sure everyone was having a good time. Yet she knew there was something underneath all of that. Yes, he was a successful experiment. Yes, he was a soldier, who became Captain America. Yes, he was very much above-average and had so many skills that people would think he was a machine if they didn't know any better. But he was a man. And this man had been through too much in his life to comfortably show his emotions.
Natasha wasn't stupid. She saw the way he looked at her. She noticed the change of tone in his voice when he spoke to her. Captain Rogers was physically the strongest man she knew, yet he was always gentle with her. Well. Sometimes not in bed, but she liked it.
"Love is for children." Natasha mumbled to herself, as she thought about the thing that could never possibly happen. Or could it? Could she be in love with Steve and could Steve ever love her in return?
"Stop being so stupid," she thought to herself, "No one could ever love a monster like you. Not even Bruce Banner. The Hulk. The monster himself. What makes you think Steve Rogers -the perfect Captain America- would ever love you? You're just friends and that's good enough."
The spy sighed deeply and dragged her fingers through her long, red, wavy hair. Why did it all have to be so complicated? He probably became impatient over the months while she was gone and went back to Sharon Carter anyway.

Steve sat on his bed, staring at the wall in front of him. The place was silent. Natasha had only just come back from a mission, which took three months and he hadn't seen her since then. He wondered how she was. He wondered if all those nights they spent together had ruined their friendship, which might have been why she left without a word. However, he knew she wasn't that type of woman. He knows her. To others, Romanoff is confident and displays happiness, unless it comes to her job. She usually liked to joke and flirt around and make sure everyone was having a good time. Yet he knew there was something underneath all of that. Yes, she was a successful experiment. Yes, she was a spy, who became the Black Widow. Yes, she was very much above-average and had so many skills that people would think she was a machine if they didn't know any better. But she was a woman. And this woman had been through too much in her life to comfortably show her emotions.
Steve wasn't stupid. He saw the way she looked at him. He noticed the change of tone in her voice when he spoke to him. Agent Romanoff was the most deadly woman he knew, yet she never gave a reason for him to fear her.
"She loves Bruce." Steve mumbled to himself, as he thought about the thing that could never possibly happen. Or could it? Could he be in love with Natasha and could Natasha ever love him in return?
"Stop being so stupid," he thought to himself, "You had your chance to be with her and you messed it up and chose Sharon instead. What an idiot. You've loved her since the moment you met her. She's saved your life so many times. Why did you chose someone else? Why haven't you told her how you really feel?"
The soldier sighed deeply and dragged his fingers through his short, blond, tidy hair. Why did it all have to be so complicated? She probably forgot about him over the months while she was gone and let her feelings for Bruce grow stronger again.

The two had enough of their conflicted thoughts. They convinced themselves that the other didn't care about them. They were friends at most. Nothing more. As if they were      psychically linked, they both got up and left the rooms, making their way to the common room of the Avengers base. Why were they getting up? It was the middle of the night.

Steve heard footsteps down the hallway as he left his room. He stood still and listened as they became louder, approaching him. The lights were dim, but he still recognised the figure that slowed its pace, then stopped in front of him.

"Rogers." The red-head greeted, looking up at him. Those emerald eyes held Steve's hostage. Her posture showed confidence. Her hair, silky and soft as always.

"Romanoff." Steve gave a slight nod, taking it all in; the sight before him. His eyes were locked on hers.

There was a moment of silence, but it wasn't awkward, even though they stared at each other. The two suddenly clicked. Natasha moved a hand to the back of his neck as Steve held her waist, pulling her closer. Their lips met in a firm kiss, exchanging passion and emotion. What seemed like a static shock ran through their bodies. They had kissed before, but never like this. This feeling was different.

Rogers pinned Natasha against the wall and they continued to kiss. He then pulled away from her lips and began to kiss her neck, causing soft moans to slip from her lips, her fingers tangling in his hair. He continued on for a while, then picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist. He carried her into his room, locked the door, then laid her down on his bed.

Steve took off his shirt and dropped it onto the floor as he got on top of her. Natasha watched, biting her lower lip. She moaned as the soldier kissed her neck again, removing her pieces of clothing, one by one. He covered her body in gentle, yet lingering kisses -something he had never done before. Her hands ran along his strong shoulders, her breaths deep and slow.

The soldier kissed up her body, to her neck, then looked into the spy's eyes. "Natasha..." He started, his voice serious yet soft. "I... I want us to be more than just friends."

Natasha looked up at him, analysing him. Was he being serious? "So do I." She replied and pulled him closer, kissing him passionately.

Soon enough, Steve unbuckled his belt and unzipped his pants as the two made out in the dark room. He pulled his cock out and began stroking himself slowly. Natasha put her legs around his waist again and moaned out loudly, digging her nails into his skin as he penetrated her. His thrusts were strong, hard and deep, causing moans and curses to escape from them both. He kissed along her neck again as he pounded into her. Her fingers clenched a tight fist in his hair as he did so. Her moans were constant and loud while he panted and grunted with each thrust.

Steve and Natasha had done this many times before, but tonight was different. There was passion and love and meaning. It felt better than it normally did.

Many hours passed and the sun made an appearance over the horizon. Steve grunted as he pounded faster and harder into Natasha, until he moaned out loudly as he released inside her. Natasha arched her back and dragged her nails down his back, moaning out at the feeling.

After they were done, Steve pulled out and laid on his bed beside her, both of them a sweaty, panting mess. Natasha looked out the window at the sunrise, then felt a strong arm around her waist. She looked at Steve as he pulled her to his chest and pulled the bed covers over them both. He gently kissed her neck and spoke in a soft voice into her ear, "Please stay tonight."

Natasha relaxed under his touch and shifted closer to his body, burying her face into his neck. "I wasn't planning to leave."
