CHAPTER 1: The Visit
The moon lit up a small town and made a river that leads to a small, doll-like house shine. The house stood out amongst the others; it was stranded on a tiny island and a large river bordering it. You could reach it by walking, if you didn't mind getting your feet wet, and the water isn't deep, but there is a bridge connecting it to the town.
The small house belonged to Drea Locsin, who was considered an outcast and didn't really communicate with the townspeople. She usually stayed indoors, unless she had to buy groceries, or when she would go at her porch and smoke. Drea wasn't treated very nicely in this small town. She was judged by the way she looked: she was pale, had her side bangs almost always covering her right eye, and rarely smiled, even when you tell her the funniest joke. She was quiet, as if she was hiding something. She didn't mind being an outcast. She didn't have to worry for anything or anyone. She learned that the hard way. She never really had friends, and she ran away due to her parents' neglect. She liked being alone in her small, but peaceful home.
Rain began to fall, and Drea woke up to the sound of her window pane opening. The wind howled and the sound of rain dripping onto the river could be heard even when she closed her window. As she turned around, she saw three figures inside of her room. All three of them towered over her since she was only about 4'11".
Two of the figures were a bit taller than one. One wasn't tattooed, but the other two were heavily tattooed. Before Drea could scream, one of them rushed over to her and covered her mouth. This figure had his hair just above his eyes. He had gauges, about an inch. He had a lip piercing, and has a tattoo of a moon under his eye. Thunder roared and a flash of light caused his eye colour to change for a second. His green eyes became silvery gray at that moment. Drea shivered and tired to escape his grip as she saw this. She tired to knee him, but she couldn't. Suddenly, all of her movement came to a stop. "It wouldn't be nice of you to knee my crotch," the man said in a sad, but sarcastic tone. I'll kick you right at your crotch, you weirdo!
The other two figures chuckled and left her room. "That's not very nice of you to do either," the man said to her as he let go of her mouth but still holding her tightly. Huh? Did he just. . .? "Yes, I just read your mind, sweetie. You need to chill, we're not going to hurt you. My name's Christofer, Christofer Drew, and I usually don't get into people's minds like that, sorry. May I ask what your name is?" He smiled with the friendliest look, but even when he looked friendly, Drea hated him and his companions. She didn't want them in her house uninvited and not knowing who they are. She didn't want Christofer to be holding her like this. What makes him think I'd tell him my name? "I'm not reading your mind anymore, so if you tell me a fake name, I understand. It was rude of us to just barge into your house like that. I'm sorry," Christofer said in a sincere voice. Drea felt his grip loosen, and she could feel the sense of movement again. He let go of her, and she sprinted to the door. The door didn't budge. She kicked and slammed herself against it, but her attempts brought her nowhere. Of course they wouldn't let me go so easily. Drea sat down and hugged her legs, covering her face as tears started to form at her eyes. She wished that these people would just leave, or better yet, that this was all just a dream.
Christofer threw his jacket and a pair of leggings from her closet at her. "Um, if it makes you feel better and to keep yourself warm, here," said Christofer as he turned around, signaling for her to start putting them on and that he won't peek, as if he hasn't seen her and held her while she was just in her underwear. She quickly put the clothing on, and as she was buttoning his jacket, the door opened and Drea squealed, ran, and bumped into Christofer, making him hold her once more. "Good going, Taylor, you scared the poor girl," he chuckled. "Hayden and I are going to hunt down some food for us. If you don't want to eat from an animal, this chic has food downstairs, or better yet, you can drink her blood and test how good she tastes," Taylor winks as he leaves the room along with Hayden, the other figure. Drink my what?! "Drink your blood, yeah, uh, I'm not a cannibal or anything, uh, I don't eat meat, which is awkward, because um, I'm a vampire, but yeah, I know I'm blabbering and you probably think I'm a psychopath, but I'm not, and uh,--" Drea blinked at him and yelled, "Vampire?! You expect me to believe that--" Christofer growled and his teeth shone. Drea closed her mouth quickly and accidentally bit her tongue. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you, but you wouldn't believe me other wise," Christofer said, more calmly. Christofer let go of her. She fell onto the ground and started to sob. Christofer felt bad. He felt bad anytime anyone cried. "Do you really think we're going to hurt you?" Drea felt the pain in his voice. She looked at him and said, "I don't want to die, please, don't kill me, I won't speak to anyone about this, just please--" "Sshh, as I've said, we won't hurt you, but we will keep you and. . .toy with you a bit." That thought disgusted Drea. She hated these men even more now, but she was still frightened at the fact that they can kill her any second. "I'm really sorry we scared you, but we really won't hurt you."
Drea sat down back at her bed, hugging her knees. Christofer sat at the edge of her bed and started to hum. The rain stopped pouring, and aside from Christofer's humming, the only sound you can hear is the wind whispering into your ears. Christofer softly sang to himself:
'Cos, oh, I know, all about your type
You're the type of girl that texts all day and talks all night
And, oh, I know, that you are feeling sad,
I don't feel bad,
'Cos even after three text messages, four missed calls,
You still slept with my best friend.
"You have a really nice and calming voice," Drea said. She cursed in her thoughts because the last thing she wanted to do was talk to these people. "Why, thank you, madame, now, will my singing let you tell me your name? Or is it not enough?" Christofer said in a silly tone of voice that made Drea grin. "Guessing that's not enough then."
Silence fell upon them. Drea's room was pitch black, the only light source that could be seen was coming from the window, where Christofer now sat by. He looked a bit gloomy, like he was in deep thought. Christofer couldn't forget his girlfriend-- or his ex, now. It's been years that the incident happened, yet he still couldn't forget about it. He was deeply hurt by it and he hated to think about it, but it always comes back to him.
"H-help me, Christofer, please. . . I'm sorry, I'm sorry for what I did. . . I really am. . ."
Christofer looked at her dying body. He wanted to help her, but he couldn't move. He was standing there, staring at her as her breathing slowly decreases. "You betrayed me. . . How can I help you. . . I can't," Christofer started to cry as he watched her die.
"It's okay Christofer, she'll be in a better place now, in hell," a voice whispered in Christofer's ear.
It'll be okay. . .
