Chapter One
Connor's POV
"I'm sorry mummy, I'm sorry I disappointed you. But I'll be joining you soon, and I promise I'll make it up to you." I heard my mates voice speak through the air.
She was just about to jump, when I grabbed her hips and pulled her backwards, making her squeal.
"Who are you?!" She exclaimed, before turning around and looking into my eyes. She had deep brown eyes, that you could get lost in.
"Mate." She whispered, before crawling out my grasp, with tears streaming down her cheeks. "You're going to reject me, right?" She asked, while looking down.
"No baby, of course not! Why in the world would I reject you? You're the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on. Without you, there is no me. Fate chose us to be together, so why would I waste fate and reject you?" She looked up at me, and a slight smile was on her face.
"Really?" She asked, while pulling her cardigan sleeves down, shivering. I had just noticed a bruise forming on her face. Who the fuck did this to my baby girl?
She noticed me getting angry, and quickly whimpered, making me soften.
"I'm not angry at you, baby girl. I'm angry at the people who have hurt you." I wrapped my arms around her petite waist, and squeezed, sending heat through her freezing body.
"What pack do you belong to, baby?" I asked softly, careful not to scare her.
"The Blue Moon pack." She answered lightly, while snuggling her face into my neck, sending shivers through my body.
The Blue Moon pack? They seemed quite nice people when I had met them before, how could they have done such a thing to an innocent girl like...
She hadn't told me her name. Oops. "What's you're name, baby?" I asked.
"Belle. What's yours?" She asked, while putting her head down.
"Connor. Connor Hood. I am the alpha of The Rushers."
"Al-Alpha?" She asked, stuttering.
"Yes, baby, alpha." I told her. "You will be joining my pack, I will not let you go back to The Blue Moon pack. I'll never let you get hurt again baby."
She smiled lightly, before nodding her head, her brown hair flying with the wind.
I slowly stood up, clutching Belle's hand, then walked through the forest and into my Kingdom. If I had of been 5 minutes later, my baby would be dead, and I would of never have met my mate.
I only went out there because I heard someone was trespassing on our land.
I walked in, and took Belle to the doctors office. He would have stuff to soothe the pain of the bruises ect. I knocked on the door. I may be alpha, but I put him in charge of the whole doctors thing, so I will knock.
"Come in!" His voice called out. "Ah, Connor, what brings you here today?" He asked cheerfully.
"I wondered if you had any of that cream for soothing the pain? What you used on Mark that time." I explained.
"I sure do, tell the lovely lady to sit right down." He smiled at her warmly.
"Go sit down babe, he won't hurt you. Promise." I whispered into her ear, before gently kissing it, making her shiver, but do what she was told.
She slowly sat down, while pulling down the sleeves of her cardigan. I smiled in pure adoration, she was so cute.
"Baby, he's just gonna rub some cream over you're bruises to stop them hurting, okay?" I smiled when she nodded her head and took off her cardigan, leaving her in a thin tank top. I gasped as I saw the dark bruises covering her tan arms.
Dr. Leon quickly squirted the cream on his gloved hands and rubbed them over her hands, making her shiver from the slight coldness. She kept her head down, as if afraid too look at him.
I will get my revenge on her old pack, for doing this to my beautiful mate.
"All done!" He smiled, then helped Belle of the doctors chair.
I gently took her hand, thanking the doctor then heading out. "What's wrong, baby?" I asked, noticing a little tear drop from her eye.
She just shook her head, and carried on walking. I quickly picked her up, carrying her bride style. "What's wrong?" I demanded, using my alpha authority. I know it was wrong, since she is my mate, but for that reason exactly I need to know what's wrong, and what I can do too help.
"I just miss my little sister. Ellie." She said, sniffing. She had a sister? "She's abused by the pack too, but I can't do anything to help her. She's 16, but she was never trained to fight or anything so she can't defend herself, and now I can't take the beatings for her.." She paused, wiping her tears away.
"I'm like her mum, since dad was too heartbroken to do anything." She said. Bless my little mate, she's had one hard life.
"How about I get her, and let her join the pack?" I asked, smiling lightly.
"You would do that? Really?!" She exclaimed, while wrapping her hands around my neck. I could already picture her sister. Belle was such a small person, while I stood at 6'3 she stood at only 5'5, but I have always had something for small girls.
"Of course, love." I said, as she giggled. What was she giggling at? Is there something on my face? "Is there something on my face?" I asked.
"No. You just sound... So British when you say love." She explained, a smile on that beautiful face of hers.
"I forgot to ask, how old are you? I'm 19." I smiled.
"18. What's you're full name? Mine is Belle Marie. I have no clue what my last name is. Dad always said it was in the past, and we shouldn't have the same last name as mum. It brings back the memories." She said. She didn't know her last name? Maybe I could find out for her, some how.
"Connor James Hood." I told her.
"Cool." She smiled. I already know I love her, I guess that's the good thing about mates, you just can't not love them. You have too!
"I love you, Belle Marie." I liked the sound of that coming from my tongue, and it was obvious she was shocked because she paused for a few seconds, her mouth slightly open.
"I love you too, Connor James Hood." She smiled lightly, before nuzzling her nose into my neck.
