Holly and Gemma still hadn't left. They were using us because they were scared, and probably fancied Sketch.
"When are we gonna get going? I'm bored." Said Holly.
"Shut up." said Nick. My mom glared at her. I chose not to look at her; they both made me feel sick.
"Let's just go. We can't stay in here forever," I said. I walked over to what seemed to be a safe in a glass cupboard.

Odd.

I smashed it. I typed "1 2 3 4" into the dial and it opened.
"How did you know?!" Shouted Nick. Holly and Gemma were shook. My mom had her mouth open in shock but was laughing.
"It was obvious, a dead shop with strange workers? Obvious." I smiled and opened the door wider. Wads of money were inside, and right at the back were 3 pistols. "Where's the ammo?"
Sketch walked over to a counter and opened a cupboard. He moved the biscuits out of the way and picked up a box.

There were a lot of biscuits.

In the box, there was tons of ammunition. I grabbed the pistols and money and shoved them in a backpack that was on the floor next to the broken glass cupboard on the floor. Some shattered glass fell off of it. I threw it over to Sketch. He put the ammo in there and threw it over to me again, so I kicked it over to my mom.
"We need to go into the store and fill it. Only the essentials." My mom was shocked. She had no idea what I was capable of and it scared her.

It scared me too.

We each had an aisle to raid, picking up essentials like water, bread, some other food, bandages, etcetera. I heard Holly gasp and let out a little scream from the aisle next to me, but I didn't think much of it as she was probably getting excited over makeup or something.
I was quite short and couldn't reach the good looking bandages from higher up so I climbed the shelves. I heard footsteps. They weren't very fast but they seemed to be getting closer very quickly. I looked over to who I thought was Nick. It was a zombie.
"Shit!" I screamed. I continued to climb the shelves. I was slipping in panic. Eventually I reached the top. I looked over to try and find Holly to help me but she was on the floor, blood everywhere. She'd already been attacked.

Karma.

I was scared and felt bad for her, but she tempted fate. She jinxed it.
I stood up and waved my arms.
"HELP!" I screeched. My mom still had the backpack with the guns and ammo in there. The zombie was trying to climb up the shelf. I was throwing boxes and items at it to slow it down. My mom and Sketch ran through the aisle that Holly was laying in. Lifeless. My mom let out a gasp and covered her mouth. Sketch was digging out a pistol and ammo. The zombie had reached the top by now. I jumped down and accidentally landed on Holly, her body making a squelching sound. My mom gagged. Sketch had thrown the pistol at me and I had caught it on the way down. I turned around and shot the zombie. I got it straight in the head and it flopped down onto the floor in front of us.
"Oh my god, baby," my mom ran up to me and gave me a hug and a kiss. "Are you ok? Not hurt?" She had started to cry again. I threw my arms around her.
"Mom I'm fine, don't worry." I wiped her tears away. She pulled me in for another hug. Suddenly, the zombie tried to get back up again. My mom loosened her hug and turned to look at it, one of my arms still holding her tightly. I shot it in the head again, making sure it was completely dead this time. I dropped the gun and my mom continued her hug. Her heartbeat was fast and heavy. Mine was surprisingly calm, seeming as I nearly just died.

Sketch picked up the gun and tucked it in his back pocket. "You ladies alright?" He said, breaking the silence. My mom let go of me. She sniffed and nodded, wiping her nose.
"Fine, thank you." She replied.
"Let's get out of here," I said, picking up a box of bandages that had fallen when I did. "We need to get some place safer."
