Two Months Later
Yuma's P.O.V
Usually, I ate at home but now that she is here, I finally have a reason to leave from the mansion. I don't know why, but when I was around her I feel strange. It was as if I should hate her but every time I tried to, my heart would ache.
Once I reached halfway to the cafe it began to rain. I ran until I heard her. I knew it must have been her. I turned around to see Lucy dressed in short shorts and a t-shirt. Like I thought before, she was a slut. What kind of woman wore shorts that barely covered her ass? She ran up to me with an umbrella in her hand. She stopped in front of me and tried to catch her breath.
"Geez, I have been chasing you for about five minutes. " She looked at me with the same innocent look in her eyes as always. "The cafe is closed today."
"How come?"
"A couple of leaks, but it should be repaired by tomorrow." She smiled at me.
"Oh" She looked at me before she stood on her tiptoes and tried to hold the umbrella over my head. I arched a brow before I grabbed it from her, broke it, and threw it. She blushed hard as she began to get wet.
I walked away from her but knew that she had been following me. This time with a different emotion, anger. I decided to ignore her frequent rambling and continue walking. That was until it began to rain even harder than before.
I sighed and turned around before I grabbed her hand and brought her to the nearby gazebo. I sat down and so did she. She glared at me but I ignored it.
"What was that for?" I didn't say anything. I soon heard her walking near me but ignored it. She stood in front of me. "Yuma you jerk." Oh so now I was not Yuma-san? Did she lose respect for me? I stood up making her back up a little. I was right. She was angry yet worried.
"Why didn't you go home?"
"Because you broke my umbrella and threw it. "
"So"
"So!?!" I cringed at how loud she had been before I glared at her.
"What do you want me to say?" I said raising my voice a little.
"I'm sorry" I shook my head before sitting back down. "So are you going to say it?"
"We are going to be here for a while." She stared at me before she sat down and looked at the rain as it came down. She was innocent, maybe but I couldn't let that control me.
"Are you going to stop staring at me?" I blushed hard.
"Why did you go after me?"
"You were in the rain, so I went after you to see if you were okay. " I felt the heat rise to my cheeks. "I should have just stayed inside and watched you get drenched in the rain." She began to shiver. "It would have saved me a lot."
I stood up and went next to her before I sat down. I took off my jacket and gave it to her.
"What?" She began to blush.
"Take it" She glared at me before she scooted away from me. She folded her arms around her and continued to shiver. "Suit yourself" I stood up and put back on my jacket before leaving.
"Yuma!" I stopped to look at her. Her eyes, she was angry of course but the innocent look she had on her face had shown a mix of fear and worry. I sighed before I went back to get her. I took off my jacket and used it to keep her from getting wet, ignoring the fact that I had still been getting rained on.
"Where do you live?"
"About two blocks down."
"Okay" I walked to her home and listened as she began to talk to me about her original home. Usually, I wouldn't have cared but for some reason, I wanted to know more about her. As we stood on the doorstep she let out a small smile.
"Thanks"
"No problem" I watched as she opened the door and looked at me. "Would you like to come in. It would be rude to leave you out here after you helped me."
"I guess that is fine."
