I knock on Cassidy's door finally. We hadn't seen her all day, and were we worried? Very.
No response. I bang on her door louder. "CASSIDY OPEN UP. WE HAVEN'T SEEN YOU ALL DAY!" I yell through the wood.
"I don't feel right," I hear her moan. "My throat hurts."
"Can I come in?"
"Yeah, I guess," she replies, before coughing.
I open the door, to see her curled up in bed. She hacks again.
"Oh poor bean," I say, going to look at her face. She's pale and her face feels hot, forehead and cheeks especially. "I'll go make you some tea."
"I can look after her," Clair says, from the doorway.
"Okay," I reply. I walk past her and head downstairs to brew up some tea.
30 minutes afterwards, when I finally finish, I head back upstairs, to see Cassidy and Clair talking.
"Don't get sick," I warn Clair, passing Cassidy her tea.
"I'll try not," Clair says, laughing.

"Wait- so both of them are sick?" Alanna asks me, looking angry.
"Yeah...," I reply, slightly scared for my life. Alanna is scary when she's angry.
She sighs. "Well we both have work, so they'll have to drive themselves to the hospital to get checked up on," she says, putting her head in her hands. "Thank god they have insurance..."
"Yeah," I agree, as I hear Clair cough upstairs. "Dear god..."
