"WHAT!!!" That was the expression I had and I somehow screamed it out. 😱. My surprise was both of joy and fear. Frankly i didn't know which to choose. I'm sure you're all wondering what im talking about. Well, it just so happens that our dear Gabriella was in my Dept. (I'm in the cinematography Dept).

So here I was, stuck in the same classes with her. Well, I would have to muster up the courage sooner than expected.

First class of the day happened to be something I loved to do. The art of photography. Now that's what I call a class. We were being taught various techniques in photography.

Our lecturer, Mr Derrick Jackson, came into class. After a bit of introduction and a brief overview of the course, he decided it would be best if we all paired ourselves in groups of 5.

Naturally, I quietly sat there. I scanned around looking which group would suit me to join. I found one but only later discovered that our dear Gabriella was also a part of that group. Today couldn't get any better.

So our group decided to meet after class as that would give adequate time for us to get to know each other better. There was Abraham (a musician), David (a sound engineer), Tope, Gabriella and I.

Photography class was lit. Just as I had imagined we had a practical class where we asked to take pictures of the around using various techniques we learned in class. Although some of us had not gotten our cameras yet, it was required, we paired with those who had.

I fortunately had my own camera. Things we beginning to turn out nice until I saw a pic I couldn't resist taking, a picture of that showed someone at peace despite all the troubles of the world. A picture of Gabriella reading a book peacefully.

Of course she saw me take the picture and from her expression I could tell she wasn't happy. She came up to me and for the first the we had a conversation.

"Hi"

"Can i see the picture you just took."

"well....."

"I don't like my picture being taken without my consent"

"Sorry, didn't know that, but here you are, you can check it out. It's actually lovely."

"It's nice but please delete it."

"Why"

"I don't like it"

It was then I figured out that despite all the glam and beauty, she was a very lonely person.

"Alright, I have deleted it" I lied.

"Thank you" and with that she left.

First conversation and I didn't have a meltdown. Impressive.

Class continued on and we eventually had to turn in the pics we took to Mr Derrick for evaluations.
