'DEAR NOBODY'

Chapter 4

Jason's P.O.V

"Hi Jason, look over there, you might wanna go cheer her up!" Daniel said, pointing at Lisa. He could be fun sometimes, but sitting at the table with my friends and him, everyday, could be really annoying.

"Why are you laughing?! it's not funny, if you didn't realise, her sister just died so you should just back off dude!" I was getting really annoyed now.

"It was just a joke J, no need to get emotional!" Daniel had everyone laughing at the table, but I wasn't having it.

"I'm not emotional, Rose was my girlfriend and she's dead now, the least you could do is have some respect and stop making dumb jokes, cause it's not funny" I whisper-shouted.

"Girlfriend?! Well, well look at how the tables have turned. You've changed  J...a lot! you've never said girlfriend in a sentence that had the word girl in it...ever ! and besides, you've basically slept around with every girl I know at Rosewood." I could feel the cheerleader on my lap shift uncomfortably and rolled her eyes.

But if I'm being honest what he said is true. I am known as the'fuck boy' at my school, but you can't blame me, It's not like I asked for it! I do have the tendency to sleep with girls and never really talk to them again, but what could I say, they don't really mean anything to me, if I'm being completely honest, they're not even considered one night stands in my book, just a smash and pass...then forget.

"But really J, you should go talk to her, she looks depressed..." That's Corbyn, he doesn't get involved much, but when he does, I usually agree with whatever he says. We've known each other since we were babies, at least that's what our moms say.

"Whatever, but it's not like its gonna change anything!" I sighed as I stood up, the cheerleader on my lap almost falling to the ground from my unexpected motion. The boys giggled, not even trying to contain their laughter. Jonah on the other hand, just gave me his usual 'you better not do anything stupid' glare as I began to walk to towards her table.

Coming to think of it, I don't even know that girl who was sitting on my lap...

Lisa and I do have some history though. When I was around 6, I had the biggest crush on her, but as we got older we grew apart and then Rose came into the picture. 

Lisa and I have never talked since. Only the occasional 'hellos' when we pass each other in the hallway.

As I reached her table, it took me a second before I could sit down and think about what I was gonna say. Pff I don't get nervous when talking to girls, its actually my speciality, but this time, I was.

"Hi Lisa...I'm sorry about what happened to Rose, if you need someone to talk to I'm always here...but how are you holding up?" I cleared my throat when she didn't answer, I was becoming slightly nervous and uncomfortable by the second.

"I'm..ah..I'm fine, thanks for asking..." her voice cracked under the pressure of trying to hold back her tears, but then she began to cry silently, some occasional whimpers could be heard. She quickly looked down at her feet trying not to make eye contact. I sat beside her and rubbed her back gently. I pulled her in for a hug trying to comfort her but she began to cry even more!

I didn't know what to do and I just panicked, I looked into her green eyes and without thinking, I kissed her. My lips were pressed against hers hoping that she'd kiss me back and guess what....she didn't! 

I was mortified! this has never happened to me before...I didn't know what to do and I was beginning to panic.

"And what exactly do you guys think you're doing?!" I quickly pulled away from the kiss with Lisa when I heard the oh-so-familiar  voice of my English teacher. Keep in mind she is a very intimidating person and I may or may not be a tad bit afraid of her, but boy I couldn't have been happier for that horrible, awkward and very uncomfortable kiss to have ended.

I turned to my left, to see Lisa frozen in her seat, her cheeks looked like some overly ripened tomatoes, I couldn't help but let out a little chuckle. I could see the boys' having the time of their life. Zach was now rolling on the ground with laughter, Daniel accompanying him, Corbyn was literally crying, even Jonah cracked a smile. That just made me laugh even louder.

"Ahemm" Mrs.Cornelia clear her throat and all laughter came to a halt. 

I was now bracing myself for whats coming next...
