You What?! (Hiatus)

Reiyn Lek's POV

My class was pleasant, I have the engineering college moon, now with the title University moon, Ming in my class and he always gets high grades and is very pleasant. He always is excited after he does well in his tests and it's rewarding as a teacher to see as many smart students have an expectation of good grades and for them it seems normal. Personally I think this is also bad for some other students as they push themselves too hard, despite doing brilliantly so I find Ming surprisingly refreshing as a student.

I am a professor, but sometimes I just go by Mr Reiyn Lek instead of Professor Lek. I am age 27 and known as the 'smart' person of the college. I'm a professor due to one of my previous works when I was even younger, but I decided to take up teaching as I disliked my office job where I worked long hours and didn't get paid that much. However even though it's unusual for a teacher, the place where I work, pay quite well and the end results of the students is rewarding as well. Overall, for me this is an easier job and I enjoy the company more. I'm not very popular with the other teachers, but there's a pleasant atmosphere where I work.

Today is the day that the previous professor of the medical college is hosting a leaving party at the bar as he will not be returning to the college soon and he feels it will be the last time he can have a drink in time coming. It is a "mandatory attendance event", according to the principal, but no one said I have to stay long, so I intend to go in, talk to a few people and leave.

The only people I'd want to talk to is my best friend and the new teacher, Dudan. She quite recently arrived to teach the medical department's students as a teacher, due to the previous teacher leaving on paternity leave. Currently she is only on trial, they are testing her to see if she is able to teach effectively and judging by her previous work I would not doubt her abilities. I only wonder why she would work here as even though this university has a good prestigious reputation and good looking nominated Moon and Suns, but alas that is hardly a reason to work here compared to the ranked university she was at previously.

It took a while, but I finished up my class, however I knew I had the evening to endure as well. I drive home quickly and changed into a pale blue shirt and jeans, before taking a bus to the bar that we were suppose to meet. I had money on me, just in case I needed to hail a cab to take me home late at night.

I arrived at the bar, barely any people were there so I approached the man of the night, who had just finished talking to the bartender.

"Hi, I'm Reiyn Lek and I work in the engineering department, so we don't see each other, but congratulations", I offered my hand while saying this and he took it and shook it heartily.

"Thanks mate! My name is Thomas, before you ask, my mother was English, but my father is Thai. Also we should hang out sometime, you're a cool guy", he said enthusiastically before saying he was going to sort out the final arrangement for tonight.

I stepped outside for a bit to prepare myself, but I somehow found myself standing face to face with the principal.

"How are you Professor? You're awfully early, but better early, than being late", he said. The principal was a kind man, but his face seemed to be blessed by God's who liked stern features as his face was one of those that you'd expect that they could not smile.

"Call me Reiyn, no need to be so formal. I was just going out to get some air before everyone arrives. So I will see you inside later", I bowed and took my leave.

I stood outside wondering, when a fancy car arrived. The open top car had the faces of strangers to initial thoughts. When I looked properly, this took me adjusting my glasses for a second, some faces were still of strangers, apart from a few women who belonged to various colleges and one man, who works alongside me in the engineering department, but he works in the laboratory and does practicals with the same students as mine.

He walked out of the car, paying no heed to me, but rather he focused on the two women on his arms. Walking past me and into the bar, instantly making conversation with those already inside the bar. Soon after most of the people arrived including Dudan, who looked radiant in a orange gown that flattered her figure, but left little to imagination.

My best friend who worked at the university before me and even provided a reference for me to work there, arrived walking with a skip in his step. Sung was talented in his line of work, he taught sports and he plays for many teams. He was taller than me and much more handsome, but also my friend from high school. We were in the same class and bonded over a game we were all forced to play and have been together since.

"Hey, you been waiting long? Well the party has arrived", he confidently joked.

"What do you mean? The party has already started", I shot down his joke and he pouted complaining that I could've let him have one joke for the evening, despite knowing himself that he'd make millions more as the evening progressed.

We entered the bar and he ordered some drinks for us, he ordered the smaller version of what he had for me, knowing I was a lightweight and just that generally I don't drink.

I finished my drink and Sung had started talking to a pretty girl so I decided not to disturb him and wait outside in the back until I could tell him that I was leaving. I felt relieved, taking a step outside and breathing in the fresh air that had not been available in the cramped room, I leant against wall, embracing the calm atmosphere.

However, I wasn't alone for long as a man exited out of the bar, followed by an enraged woman. I was able to work out that the man was Mr Yen and the woman, Dudan.

Although this wouldn't of been an uncommon event if Mr Yen hadn't been charging towards me.

All names are Thai words without the accents. I do not know Thai so forgive me for any mistakes.

This my new story, kind of a side story about the two teachers Mr Yen and Professor Lek.
I want to keep my chapters over 1000 words like 'Heartbeat or Break'. Also I know the cover picture is very bad, but I will change it soon, when I can figure out what to put it as?

Also I assure you that this is a BL story!

The drama has only just began!
