You What?! (Hiatus)

I got home without bumping into Yen again, but I was exhausted because of it. I know I shouldn't fear a note that simply says don't go near him, but due to past experience with jealousy in someone, I didn't want a repeat of that.

I slouched on my bed, which felt unusually uncomfortable, but this was probably because the bed I slept on last night was so soft. A blush crept onto my face upon remembering that I'd slept in another person's bed for the first time, but of course I didn't do anything bad, but it felt odd on a bed alone. It was only one night and yet I had got used to sleeping with someone, which was odd as that shouldn't be.

I forced myself to get up and get changed into my night clothing and brush my teeth. Once I had done that I lay on the couch and turned the television on, I flicked through the channels, but there wasn't anything in particular I wanted to watch so I put down the remote when I found something that could play in the background.

I went to make myself a cup of tea, but I seemed to have forgotten to buy teabags so I settled for coffee. I preferred the aroma of coffee to its taste, but Sung preferred coffee so I always kept it in the cupboard because as he is my best friend, he occasionally turns up without warning since he had both a key to my house and the emergency key to my house. I was given five sets of keys when I first moved into this place because the landlord had got sick of people losing their keys. I gave two sets to Sung as he was my best friend and kept the other three for myself as I didn't have anyone else to give them to.

I sat down with my coffee and went on my phone, reading through various articles and what not, but nothing caught my interest. I decided to text Sung and see what he was doing, but as if a mind reader, he texted me first.

I smiled as I put my phone down because it was typical of my best friend, not to tell me something purely because he wanted to pull a joke or play a pun. I was pretty excited as that meant tomorrow I was going to see lots of photos of the new puppy and no doubt soon I'd be able to see the puppy in real life.

I checked the time via my television and it was getting late so I placed the mug in the sink after rinsing it a few times. Then I put my phone on charge after getting into my room and went to brush my teeth again so the coffee would not stain my teeth.

Once I had minty breath again I got into bed and rolled around until I was warm, but I couldn't get comfortable. It wasn't so much that the bed was cold or uncomfortable, but it felt like something was missing so I took one of the pillows and turned it so it was vertical and surprisingly this helped ease me slightly, but the pillow was cold so I had to roll around again to warm myself and the pillow up.

I was warm and comfortable, but I felt awake still, although the caffeine should've worn off by now. I stared up at the ceiling blankly, what was I missing?

The only difference from yesterday was a slightly less soft cushioning and I wasn't sleeping with Yen. I was blushing at the thought, but that couldn't be it right?

In all my efforts I still couldn't get to sleep, I buried my head in my pillow before I got up and got my phone and called Sung.

"Why are you not asleep? Let alone calling me at this time of night", he sounded groggy as he should as it was almost past two in the morning.

"I can't sleep and I don't know why", I said.

"What did you do different recently? You know how you have a tendency to adapt quickly to things", he asked and I had no idea what to tell him. He was right as he had been with me for a long time now and obviously had observed my habits.

"Well, yesterday I slept with Yen, not anything dirty, just slept", I said nervously, awaiting his reaction.

"Okay so why are you calling me, call Yen and ask him if you could sleep with him again. Now go do that and let me sleep, you know how I need my beauty sleep to get the ladies", he said and then hung up.

"That wasn't helpful", I stated although I was obviously talking to no one. I wasn't going to take the advice as it was obscene like I would never tell Yen that I was having trouble sleeping without him, I mean how do you even say something like that without it sounding well, wrong?
