Dear Mom and Dad,

First, I would like to say I am terribly sorry and regret my decison to run away at the age of 16. My boyfriend at the time (Mason) had gotten me pregnant. I was too ashamed to face you, so I ran away without thinking and didn't look back.

My daughter Georgia Anne Carter was born on October 31st, 1997. It's been five years since then and I love Georgia with all my heart, but I must ask you to watch her for me.

Mason went missing on January 1st, 2000. For years I would look over the case of his disappearance that the authorities had so rudely dropped. I was about to give up when I found something. I won't tell you what it was or anything about what I know so I don't put you in danger. All I can tell you is that I'm in life-threatening danger and if Geogia stayed with me, she would be too.
