This is a fanfiction of AMC's The Walking Dead. I've created Aria, and wasn't orgianlly part of the Walking Dead, so I don't own any other characters and stuff. There are going to be quite a few spoliers in this if you haven't seen finished series 3, and I am not going to make it too gross or anything. So enjoy. :P

It had been a few years since everything went wrong. Humanity was completely lost, apart from the few desperate groups of survivors that competed against any other groups, racing for the cure and battling for life. Friends, family, neighbours or acquaintances patrolled the streets, setting their empty, lost eyes upon any out-of-place creature, and despite the danger it would bring them, slowly amble towards them, rolling their jaws in pleasant thoughts of burying their hungry teeth into any living thing's flesh.
This was the world that humans had to live in. Mankind no longer ruled the once hopeful and free world, and now watched the dead stalk the closest movement, constantly in fear of losing everything. No one in this new world wanted to become what they couldn’t avoid.
However, during this apocalyptic scene, a few scientists got their hands on one of these dead people, and after trail an error, found out another creature they could create. A creature that could help the remaining humans survive. A half human, half wolf. A werewolf.
Many scientists shook the news off them as they discovered this news, too worried about how to deal with the dead that bashed against the doors.
Before long, there was only three people left in the science building, a scientist, his partner, and the partners daughter…
Aria's body shook. Buildings loomed above her, casting tall shadows over her, filling the eeriness with more reason for her to scream.
She had been walking for days after she turned, searching non-stop for food. Her stomach growled with neglect as she pulled her small red trainers in front of the other, pulling her away from the past she wasn’t willing to return to. No matter what, she wasn't going to return there.
Her frail hand automatically raised to her shoulder, clasping the small, red dot that gave off a dull pain, reminding her of the injection that she unwilling was given.
Hugging herself, Aria quietly walked down a narrow ally way -- an idea she wasn’t too keen of using, but with the unexpected group of dead, she had no choice. Her eyes flicked across the doors in the ally way, every not-boarded window making her heart race as she swiftly walked by.
Night wasn’t too long away, and she knew that staying out at night was disastrous, even if she had her 'advantage'.
‘No,’ She thought sharply to herself, stopping completely in her tracks, ‘I’m not a monster. I’m not.’
She had spent the last two years narrowly avoiding the creatures, hiding in deserted buildings, scavenging for food and slowly wasting her life, waiting for her father. Night after night, crying to herself as the distant gun fires and screams rang around the dead city of Atlanta, fearing of the other half of her to come. Fearing for the time that her entire body switched into the form of a silent, dangerous wolf.
It had been a while since Aria had left the graveyard of a science lab, taking every bit of evidence of her unnatural existence with her. The scientist that had turned Aria into the messed up creature she was now had written books of notes on the tests he performed on her, and when Aria was forced to leave after, like everyone else, the scientist was bitten, she took all his notes and left. Aria had been so worried about the books she carried, she had taken the remaining bandages they had and tied the small notebook against her back with the bandages, meaning when she shifted into a wolf, the notebook and all evidence of her ever being connected to the wolf would go with her.
