Aries
"Aries! Would you come down here for a moment?" Aries mum called from downstairs. Aries for up from her bed and headed downstairs. Her mother sat on the couch with a worried expression on her face.
"Yes?" Asked Aries.
"Did you apply for a school?" Her mother asked, her worried expression deepening.
"No. Why do you ask?"
"There is a letter here that says you've been accepted into a school by the name of High School for Constellation Descents. A man or woman offered to pay for your tuition if you went." She says.
"Doesn't it sound kind of sketchy? The name sounds fake too." Asked Aries, clearly annoyed. Their neighbours were always travelling, so the mail men always leave their packages and mail with them. It could've been theirs.
"This is a great opportunity Aries." Says her mum.
"You can't possibly think that this is safe." Said Aries, expasparated. If she thought she was going to send her to a school they didn't even know existed, and a stranger paying for it she should think again.
"I think you should go, Aries." Says her mum. Aries stared at her mother, wide eyed and even more annoyed.
"No. There is nothing wrong with my current school." She tells her.
"Aries, you know that your school is expensive and far from home. If you stayed at their boarding school, we'd have a lot more money to spare." Says her mum softly. She was right. They didn't have the money for certain luxuries.
"Fine. I'll go." Aries says quietly. Her mum smiled and pulled her into a hug.
"Pack your bags. We leave in an two days." Her mum pulled out a plane ticket from the envelope. She handed it to Aries and sent her back upstairs.
Aries wasn't too happy about the whole ordeal. It meant extra money for university and other luxuries. She was mainly worried about her mum. Aries did not have siblings or a father to keep her mum company. They lived in a tough area, most people lived in fear here.
Aries took out a large suitcase and packed her clothes, shoes, CD's, and other valuable or needed items. By the time she was done an hour passed. She spent the rest of her days reminiscing.
"Aries! Are you ready?" Yelled her mother.
"Yes! I'll be out in a few moments!" She shouted back. Aries made her bed and tidied her room up a bit to spare her mum the trouble. She grabbed her suitcase and backpack and headed downstairs.
"Are you ready to leave?" Asked her mother. Aries nodded and packed her bags into the boot of the car and climbed into the back seat. They then started their journey for the airport.
