Chapter 2 - Just a Hello
Alice’s P.O.V.
I hid in the shadows waiting to ambush my next target. Today I have to go for a plump fat man called Wesler Hawk. Weird name. He should be arriving soon to get into his car in this underground parking area.
I heard a Ding at the far end of the parking area indicating that the lift doors were opening. I pulled out a small mirror from the pocket of my black skirt and held it out away from the pillar. I could see the reflection of the person who came out. It was a fat man in a spotless white suit, which was walking across the rows of cars, he was my target. Another man in a similar suit walked beside him, he had big broad shoulders and a hunched back. There was something fishy with that man.
As they neared the car which was a car down the place where I was hiding behind, I pulled my hand back and put the mirror back inside my pocket. The fat man pulled out a set of keys and clicked a button, unlocking the doors of his black jaguar. It was my queue now, where I make an appearance.
My footsteps echoed loudly throughout the whole place as I approached the two guys. They both froze and snapped their heads up in my direction, a startled expression on their faces. Their eyes widened when they took notice of the black katana on my waist.
“Hasn’t anyone ever told you to not go outside in the dark, alone?” I asked in my velvety cold voice.
The fat man’s face morphed into utter fear, his eyes widening into saucepans and his jaw dropped to the ground. His adams apple bobbed up and down when he swallowed in fear. You could literally hear him gulp. However the other guy just furrowed his eyebrows in concentration and took a different stance like he was getting ready for a fight.
“So, you’re the famous Black Cat, huh? Where’s White Cat then?” Hunched guy said.
I smiled sweetly which made him narrow his eyes. “I don’t need White to kill someone.”
“W-why are you here?” the fat man asked with a terrified expression, his voice trembled. Oh, how I loved the smell of fear.
“Oh, I just wanted to say a hello to you. Is that so bad?” I replied with an innocent smile.
“Go, run Mr Hawk.” The other guy said. The fat man nodded his head but before he could move a muscle I spoke out.
“Ah, ah, ah. You’re going nowhere. You’re going to stay here like a good little boy and let me get on with my job. Whether you like it or not, you’re going to die today, Wesler.” I said slowly waggling my index finger, like someone talking to a child. With every word I spoke, I took a step forward until I was about 13ft away from them both.
“Sorry, but you’re not getting your way today.” Hunched guy said, reaching behind his back to pull something out. He wasn’t really hunched, it was a blue katana strapped onto his back. The metal reflected the dim lights on the ceiling. Who would’ve thought that fat man got a bodyguard? He should’ve got more though, since there was more of him to protect (he is very fat!).
I too unsheathed my sword. My one was fully black, event the metal. I can attack my enemy without them knowing where the blade was going to come from because it camouflages so well in the dark.
“Run!” He shouted to Hawk as he dived forwards towards me, swinging his sword. My plump target stumbled away from us and towards the lift. Stupid guy, I would’ve taken the emergency exit, though I would never run from a fight.
I blocked the man’s first attack on my left - barely moving a muscle – and the second on my right. He’s a powerful man, but just not enough. He spun round to the right and aimed for my head but I swiftly dodged it by taking a step back. We parried blows for a minute or so until I started to get bored. He kept on using the same techniques over and over again.
I pulled out three shurikens from the little pouch underneath my black skirt and took a step back, creating more room. I threw all three of them at the same time. He deflected two of them but the third one lodged tightly into his left shoulder, slightly knocking him off balance.
“Is that all you got?” I said with a smirk, it was going to be my victory, I just know it.
His face reddened as he became angrier.
“Tornado Twist!” He shouted.
He ran at me at full speed then jumped, twisting his body so that he was spinning in the air. I side stepped him so that he completely missed me. I lifted my right leg up to kick him while he was still moving passed me. That knocked the breath out of him. I twisted round then sliced his stomach. Blood glazed the top of my sword. As he was falling back to the ground, I took out a kunai from the same pouch and shot it at his throat. My aim was perfect, it pierced into his neck. He landed onto the floor with his back facing up causing the kunai to dig deeper and appear on the other side. He was definitely dead now. One down, now one more to go.
(A/N: The picture of the little girl is Alice right after Cecilia took her in and taught her how to fight. She dyed her hair black. If you wanna know why ask me in the comment box! :) x)
