#16 || Muslim Lives Matter

Dear islamophobe,

Now... I'm not too knowledgeable on this religion, but I did some research and asked questions before I wrote this chapter, so bear with me

The most famous reason made by an islamophobe is all terrorists are Muslim.

What's the saying?
"Not all Muslims are terrorist but all terrorists are Muslims."

Where is this coming from?

Is it referring to only recent terrorist attacks, or literally all terrorist attacks?

Assuming you mean "all" as in recent attacks, because bless your heart if you're referring to literally all terrorist attacks, let's list some non-Muslim terrorist attacks that has happened recently. (2015 and later)

Dylann Roof - American white supremacist who shot and killed 9 people in an historically black church.

Robert Dear- Mass shooting of a planned parenthood clinic, 3 deaths and 9 injuries.

Timothy Mcveigh- White, catholic male who bombed a building in Oklahoma City. Killed 168 people.

Columbine shooting- two white male students shot and killed 12 students and a teacher, and then shot themselves in the library.

The hijab.

My dearest friend Silla shared her experience of the beginnings of wearing her hijab.

"We weren't visibly Muslim, and because of that, our neighbors would visit us kids and we'd play soccer together. Then my sisters decided they wanted to wear the headscarf..."
"It wasn't until my sisters put on the headscarf that everything changed. Suddenly, these boys were rallying up, following my sisters to the library, pelting them with rocks, treating them like scum. It got to the point where we would find boys hiding in our trees, trying to peep at us while we changed. "

All that for what? Because they wore a hijab.

People think hijabs are oppressing to women. But, honestly, the women (most of them) love wearing the hijab.

Just as some people enjoy wearing conservative clothing because it makes them feel modest, women who wear the hijab feel modest by wearing it.

Isis is a group of Islam extremists. Isis goes against everything Islam stands for. It's just like when Christians kill homosexuals, killing people is against God. I'm Christianity, murder is a sin, yet, there they go, killing people "in the name of God"

It's just like saying all Christians are KKK because the KKK are christians  🤷🏾‍♀️
