Chapter 3

I woke up the next morning to breakfast in bed and my brother holding a bunch of balloons. "happy birthday Kenzie!" he said as he let the balloons fly to the ceiling.

he threw a card onto my bed and told me to open it. I read it out loud and a piece of paper fell out of the inside.

I picked up the piece of paper and it was a plane ticket to San Francisco. I looked up "that's where the next magcon is. I told you I was bringing you." he said.

I was thanking him as I was cutting up the pancakes he brought me.

I talked to him for a little about the whole magcon situation. he told me who I'm sharing a hotel room with. the dates. how long were staying.

I'm pretty excited considering that I'm sharing a hotel room with my brother, jack j, mahogany, Shawn and Cam.

as I was finishing up washing the dishes my phone buzzed "@ShawnMendes: can't wait for magcon San Fran! Getting to meet my boy @jackgilinsky sister!"

I was smiling and couldn't take my eyes off the tweet.

I replied to him "@KenzzGilinskyy: @ShawnMendes can't wait to meet you guys either!" he retweeted it almost instantly and my followers went up by thousands.

I got a bunch of DMs asking for follows from the boys when I didn't even have follows from them besides my brother and jack.

we were leaving for San Fran in three days and I was so focused on packing and getting my outfits together that I couldn't pay attention to anything else.

Shawn followed me and DMed me asking me for my number. I replied and my phone buzzed about five minutes after. I was in a group chat with 12 other people and the only numbers I had were jack and my brother.

after I got everyone's number they all followed me. Mahogany, then Cam, Nash, Aaron, Hayes, then Jacob, Taylor, Matt, and then Carter.

they all seemed so excited to meet me and I was excited too.

Since Mahogany was the only girl I decided to text her out of the group chat. I started by saying how happy I was the I'm finally gonna get to meet her.

I texted her all day everyday until the day we left to board the plane. while we were on the plane I was shaking in my own skin. so excited to meet mahogany and the rest of the boys.

I was in the middle of jack and my brother. I leaned me jacks chest as he rubbed my back and had one ear phone in his ear and one in mine.

right as I was about to fall asleep jack and jacks song came on, distance. I opened my eyes and started singing the lyrics quietly into jacks chest. he moved my hair behind my ear and kissed my forehead.

I looked up into his bright blue eyes and his eyelids slowly came together as he laid all the way back in his chair and took a deep breath.

I snuggled up to him with his fingers interlocked into mine as I fell asleep in his arms.

I woke up to my brother shaking me and handing my my backpack. "we're here you guys can get up now." he said with an attitude.

I walked down the aisle of the plane with jack in front of me and my brother behind.

I felt my brother get closer to my face as he whispered "I asked you not to and you still did it."

I turned my head around and looked him dead in the eye and just sighed.

I don't know what to do. I've liked jack for so long and now that something is finally happening my brothers against it.
