AJ
When I had parked my car in front of the apartment building, I thought I was at the wrong address or something.
The neighborhood didn't seem nice or friendly and the apartment building looked raggedy. I couldn't believe that May lived here. She deserved better than this,
I told her I was here through text and I got out my car with the roses I bought for her and I waited.
I've waited for this day for the longest. Ever since I saw May I just knew that I had to make her mine.
When I looked up I saw May come out of the apartment building. And she looked beyond gorgeous. She was wearing a black silk dress which showed her back and all her nice curves, and her curly hair was down.
I smiled and when she was me she smiled too. I was one lucky person I thought to myself.
"Hey AJ." May said
"Hi May, these are for you." I said as I handed her the roses.
"Oh thank you but you didn't have to do that." May said as she smelled the roses.
"Oh it's nothing. When I saw them
I thought of you. They smelled nice and they looked beautiful just like you." I saidMay blushed "Aww that's so sweet."
"Not as sweet as you." I said
She was turning red, I can tell my charm was winning her over.
"You ready to go May?" I asked.
"Yeah sure." May said.
I opened the door for her and she got inside. I got in the car and drove off.
"Do you want the radio on?" I asked
"It's doesn't matter." May said.
I plug my phone into the radio of my car and put my music on shuffle. A song by August Alsina started to play.
"Oh my god I love this song!" May said.
"Oh yeah?" I asked.
"Yeah I love almost everyone of his songs. I just hate it when people compare him to Chris Brown." May said
"I feel the same way. Just because he's light skin and he can sing people gotta say he sound like Chris." I said
May giggled "Finally someone who gets me."
I laughed "You look gorgeous by the way. But then again you always look gorgeous.
May blushed. "Wow, Thank you, you look nice too."
"Thank you." I said with a smile
"So where are we going?" May asked
"Oh this little club on the other side of town." I said
"A club?" May asked
"It's not one of those loud crazy clubs. It's actually classy and it just happens to be "Open Mic" tonight which is one of y favorite nights. I think you would enjoy it as well." I said as I put my hand on her thigh and gave it a tight squeeze. "Do you like poetry?"
"Huh?! Oh yeah, I like poetry." May said a little too excited.
"Well good. I really hope you enjoy it." I said.
*********
I parked my car in the parking lot of Under The Rainbow. I got out the car first and I opened May's side of the door.
