Chapter 7

Peyton: Mom please sign my camp sheet, I really wanna go.

Really I've not seen Asher for any more than 20 hours since we meet, we've not seen each other everyday. Even when he stayed home after the accident he still went outside to sit on his front porch every morning and I would see him everyday from across the road when I was going to school. The school camp lasts a 5 days, 5 WHOLE days. No way. Uh, uh. Sorry put a don't care what he situation is right with us but that doesn't mean I don't get to see him.

Mrs Lee: Peyton we made a deal, Asher's Dad is the one that signs the notes ok. I hate doing it, it feels weird and on top of that I still cant write properly since the accident.

My mom has never liked signing school forms. She hates when she reads it and it talks about 'Parent's Permission and all the things she needs some one else to help her make decision, that's someone else being my dad. I completely forgot how this affects her. So I just give her a hug and give her a smile. I understand, but I have only have one more choice.

****

It's 7:00 and I have an hour until I have to be at school. I gave my self extra time for this mission I have to complete. When ever I do this I remember the Cody Banks movie, I love it so much. I left the house a while ago and now I'm hiding behind this large tree waiting for Asher to leave his house.

Why am I waiting for that? I decided to ask Asher's Dad to sign my camp sheet. It shouldn't be too weird right he used to do it all the time.

I see as his door handle turns and out comes a gloriously gorgeous Asher Dov Angel. My heart starts racing so fast and I start feeling everything I've ever felt strongly for him, anger, hate, love and the way he made sure I was never alone.

My smile faces. I need to focus, not daydream about pointless things. Once Asher was around the corner I quickly get up make my way to his front door and knock.

Asher's Dad: Hey Peyton, how are you.

He greets me with a smile. He's so nice.

Peyton: Good Morning Dov. I'm doing great.

I call Asher's dad Dov since it's a part of his last name and because he won't tell me his first name maybe he's embarrassed or something.

Dov: Oh Asher just left if you hurry you might catch up to him.

Peyton: Actually I'm here to see you, I kind of need your help.

Dov: Sure come on in, do you want some Coco Pops I know they're you favorite.

Peyton: Yeah sure, I haven't had breakfast yet.

I make my way to the kitchen bench and sit on my seat. And yeah it has my name on it. It feels weird every time I come here now, like it's not the same house I used to go to almost everyday.

Dov: So what did you need to see me for.

He says as he pours milk into the bowl of cereal.

Peyton: Can you sign my camp permission for, please. You used to do it all the and you know how my mom hates it.

Dov: Of course no need beg, it's fine with me and don't ask your mom again. I've talked to her about it before and I don't want her to go through that, so just come to me whenever you need a form signed, ok?

Peyton: Ok, I will.

He takes the paper and begins to sign it.

Dov: Yeah I signed Asher's form this morning too, you both always wait until the last day.
