EDIT IMPORTANT: This book is standalone. Yes, it is part of a trilogy, but the 2nd and 3rd book were more personal friend group based than this one. You can read just this book and not be bothered with the weirdness and unalignment that the other books possess (for reasons found in the epilogue of this book which I shan't say here so I don't spoil it for new readers).
