His eyes search mine before a smirk comes on his face.
"Sophia Rae," he says holding me closer. His hand raises up to hold my bare back. "Let me guess, Jessica invited me?"
"No," I say looking up at him.
"Well then who?" He asks putting my hands on his shoulder.
I begin to fumble and he smirks, once again.
"Follow my lead," he says.
"O-okay," I say.
He moves us to the beat and unlike with the man earlier, I struggled following his steps until finally he lifted me up and put my feet on top of his.
"So," he says moving us to the right. "I never gave you your money, did I."
"N-no," I say not knowing what else to say.
"Well how would you like it?" He asks tilting in.
"How would I like what?" I ask getting up.
"Your eggs. No your money, obviously," he says twirling me. "I stay true to my word. Or would you like something other than money?" He asks.
"Huh?" I ask blushing.
He tilts me once again and his hand travels higher up my back for better holding support. He stares into my eyes and I stare right back.
"Luca," someone says removing us from our thoughts. "Can I have a dance?" A pretty brown haired lady says looking between the two of us.
"Found you!" Rico says appearing from behind me. "Dance with me?" He asks.
Luca's grip on my waist tightens and for a second there's a look of irritation in his eyes before he finally releases me.
"You remember Sophia, right?" Rico asks puffing his hands on my back.
Luca nods.
"And I'm sure you remember Luca," Rico says to me. "Right?"
"Yes," I say.
Luca's eyes stay on me for a while longer before going to Rico and coming back to me again.
"Okay, Isabella," he says putting his arms around the brown head. "Shall we?"
His eyes linger on me and then they walk further into the dance floor.
"Come on," Rico says grinning. "We'll follow them."
"Why?" I ask following him.
He doesn't respond until we're positioned to dance.
"Oh!" I yelp as his hands rest on my ass.
I feel eyes on me as we dance and know better than to turn around.
"Okay and here we begin twirling," Rico says twirling me.
I find myself being cornered mid twirl.
"Luca," I say realizing it's him from his strong cologne.
"The purpose of the twirl was to trade partners," he says huskily. "Isabella and Rico are a better fit, don't you think?" He asks holding me tighter.
I turn to my side to see Rico and Isabella in a conversation with her laughing at something she'd just said.
"Should we dance?" I manage to say stepping back a little.
I rest my hands on his shoulders once again and interlock my sweaty hands together.
We slowly dance to the slow song and very so rarely do I sneak looks at him.
He was beautiful.
Not hot like Rico or sexy like Michael. No.
HE WAS BEAUTIFUL.
I feel the urge to wanna stare at him again but this time when I do, his eyes are right on me.
I quickly look away down and get a burning feeling in my cheeks once again.
The song ends and everyone on the dance floor begins disappearing into the crowd and yet he doesn't let me go.
"Um, the songs over," I say meekly. "S-shouldn't we join everyone else."
"I am not everyone else," he says pulling me closer. Then midway he stops and searches amongst the crowd. "Excuse me," he says pulling apart and walking away while still looking into the crowd.
"Oh," I say following him with my eyes. "Okay."
I look around and there are eyes on me and I have the urge to burst out laughing because of my uncomfortableness.
"Fuck," I mumble walking into the crowd.
"Sophia!" I hear a familiar voice call out to me.
"Hey," I say turning around to face Michael. "Michael."
"How're you liking it so far?" He asks.
"It's fun," I say honestly. "I've danced and learned how to ball room dance."
"But that isn't what you like to dance to, is it?" He asks winking.
"Oh my god," I say feeling my cheeks burn once again. "That's so embarrassing."
"Hey, we've all dirty danced on complete strangers," he says chuckling.
His laughing comes to a stop as his eyes follow a brown head walking out with a man's around draped around her.
"Someone you know?" I ask following his gaze.
"Haha," he laughs still not taking his eyes off of her.
"Well?" I ask.
"Uh no," he says finally dragging his eyes. "Not someone I know personally. I should start heading out," he says looking at the door once again. "Great seeing you."
"Oh okay," I say once again awkwardly standing alone. "I'll just be over here.. alone and hungry."
As the night comes to a stop, I dance with many more men and begin to really enjoy myself before heading back home with a tipsy Jasmine.
