Edgy? Lol, Nope!

Lucy's P.O.V:

"Hey, Luce?" Natsu swiftly rips off the clear paper between him and his food, his eyes filling with greed.

"Hmm?" I answer, flipping the page of a horrible romance novel.

Long story short, Gajeel and I were at the library, and this romance novel fell off a shelf, and onto my head. So, he continued to tease me saying "you and the book were meant to be," and all that crud.

I ended up checking it out for the heck of it.

"Do you think I'm edgy?" Natsu's voice sounds overwhelmingly serious.

I lost it.

I tried to speak, but whenever words tried to come, more laughter was heard instead.

Once I had been drained of my lifetime supply of laughter, I started to examine this Camp Rock watcher's appearance.

"If you call pink haired boys with no signs of black in their closet edgy, I guess so." I shrugged, as I finally forked a piece of lettuce into my mouth.

It has been 3 months since Natsu has transferred here.

He rolled his eyes, and began to fork his microwaved meal into his mouth, savor into every bite.

I chuckled at his love for food, to hear a familiar throat clearing.

I turn my head to see Lissana Strauss, staring quite coldly at a certain someone.

Me.

"Darn Dragneel!" I mumbled to myself.

"What'd I do?" Natsu puzzles as he gulps down the large amount of food stuffed in his cheeks.

"You're the school's best basketball player!" I start, Natsu nods, signaling me to continue.

"Yet, the only girl you hang with is me." Once again, nodding is all he does.

"Girls like Lissana, and other attractive females, I guess get jealous that you hang out with me instead of the more attractive." I finish, and continue to munch my lettuce.

"So?" Natsu gestures me to speak once more.

"So, I get dirty looks, cold stares, mean pranks, and so on, from those jealous teen girls." I then stuff my mouth with salad, not wanting to speak again for a bit.

"Then why haven't you stopped hanging with me?" Natsu wiggled his eyebrows flirtatiously.

At least, he attempted to be flirtatious.

"Because you haven't screwed up yet." I say shrugging.

"Uhuh." Natsu shook his head in disbelief.

I flicked his forehead, which earned another cold stare from Lissana, who was practicing cheerleading.

Natsu and I always eat our lunch in the bleachers.

It's the only way my voice is drowned out, thanks to the peppy cheerleaders, and the battle crying jocks.

Fairy Tail High is a weird place.

Sorry for the short chapter, I really wanted to update something but this is all I could do with my schedule. Hope you enjoy!
