Small hands reached for the cookies, sneaking them into your room as you munched on them, careful not to spill crumbs.
Your dream from last night made you think a lot today. It had all felt so real, his voice, his hand, everything. You didn't tell your mom or friends, they would think its weird. You instead would wait to see him again, hoping to see him again.
--
After the first encounter, (Y/N) and Drizunn were talking every dream, mostly about how 3rd grade was for the small girl and what she liked to do. Drizunn would occasionally mention some things from the day, but he would never mention the blood he spilled.(Y/N) was only 8, and very innocent.
And he planned on protecting that innocence.
--
2 years. 2 years you had been speaking to Drizunn, and you were getting skeptical of his whereabouts.
Almost every dream he smelled of dried iron, his fingers always stained slightly red, and he was getting more and more hostile every time you questioned what those red stains were.
You decided to hide from him tonight, but as that thought was made, more came.
What if he's a demon? What if he's going to kill me??
You had decided what you would do tonight, as you pulled the covers over your head and into a slumber.
--
The minute you woke into the grassy forest, you dashed up a large tree, onto the sturdiest branch you could find, hiding between the leaves.
Squinting, you managed to make out the dark, tall figure appearing, whipping its head around in every direction, trying to find you.
"(Y/N)?" Drizunn called out, taking a few steps forward left of your tree. His fingers were drenched in a dripping, red fluid that you didn't want to believe was blood.
You stayed silent, not moving a muscle. You wanted to see if he would be angry, or at the very least, upset.
"(Y/N)?!" He called again, louder, and you could hear impatience laced in his tone. You held your breath for a moment, grasping the tree branch. You didn't fail to notice his skin darkening, and the horns on his head getting lighter.
Drizunn walked around more, mostly close to your tree. You held your breath as he opened his jaw, his tongue tasting the air and trying to find your scent. This went on for a bit until he got frustrated.
"(Y/N)!!" He screeched, his voice booming through the forest, hands shooting from the ground in a circle around him. His skin was a dark grey now, his horns pure white.
Your vision soon became blurred and distorted, your ears ringing. Everything was being destroyed as you awoke with a jolt.
Sweat drenched your shaking form as you frantically looked around. No sign of Drizunn.
You couldn't erase that horrifying image of his anger out your head, it felt as if his scribble shaped eyes were piercing through your soul.
You slowly got out of bed, heading for the bathroom-
You needed a shower.
--
Dreams like your last continued for a while. Drizunn would beg and plead for you to come out, which turned into threats of murder, which then turned into apologizing and begging. It was a vicious cycle you had to watch from a lage tree. After two weeks, the dreams gradually stopped, and soon after, your mind began to forget them, and what you didn't forget your subconscious passed off as silly dreams. If only that's what they were.
