Spider-Man : Alternate Paths.

One Bad Day Away.

"What's better than a good 'ol swing in between the buildings of New York in the afternoon?" Said Spider-Man while he was swinging in New York City "Nothing." he replied to himself. "The day's been going great so far. I nailed the algebra test and Flash Tompshon was sick so he didn't showed up,finally a day without me getting bullied." Peter said with a big relief. "Now all I have to worry for is that I am gonna be late.I am supossed to meet Reed Richards at the Baxter buildings in 2 minutes from now,so I better hurry." He said while he was swinging by the Avengers Tower. "Mr.Richards is such a nice guy but he hates it when someone is late.Luckily,swinging is way faster than taking a cab or the subway" Spidey said while he was landing on top of the Baxter Building. "90% of the people going in the Baxter Building use the front gate..me and my buddy Johnny Storm on the other hand..We use the ceiling." He said while he crawled to the ceiling,there was a door there that lead straight to Reed Richard's lab. So Peter went down the stairs and opened the door to find Reed Richards with his Fantastic Four uniform and a white lab coat on looking at a white board with calculations written all over it and Johnny Storm,one of his best friends sitting there,chilling,with a cup of coffee on his hand. "Mr.Richards sorry I am late" Peter said in an akward voice. "You weren't late at all Mr.Parker,you came just in time." Reed Richards said with a calm voice. "'Sup Pete?" Johnny said while he waved at Peter. "Everything's great Johnny,how come I find you here? I thought you hated this kind of stuff." Peter said confused. "What? Nerd stuff? Yeah I don't like 'em. But I got nothing better to do and I heard you were coming so.." he says and then he slurps a bit of his coffee "I'll stick around" Johnny smilled."Yes Johnny thank you but I've got work to do with Peter." Reed said while looking towards Johnny. "Yes,yes of course,I'll leave you two alone,I'll be on the roof" Johnny said and tapped Peter in a friendly way on the shoulder as he walked out."So Mr.Richards why am I here?" Peter asked. "I am building something..extrodinary.But I will need your help,you are a very smart young man Pete,I like that on you." Reed explained while he erased something from the white board. "Thanks Mr.Richards that means a lot coming from you,so what are you building?" Peter asked as we walked towards Reed while taking his mask off and putting it on a desk. "I am building a time-machine Peter. But I can't find a way to solve this algorithm.That's why I called you here,your father was an expert to algorithms like this one. Any chance you will be able to help?" Richards asked Peter with an akward tone.Peter then looked down for a moment remembering about his parent's death. "Yes Mr.Richards...I will help you,just let me write it down." Peter said while he grabbed a pen and a notebook to write down the algorithm."And done.I'll work it once I get home!" Peter said with a smile on his face. "Thank you Mr.Parker." Reed replied with a calm tone. "But now if you'll excuse me I have to-" Peter said but was interupted by an alarm on the Baxter Building. Johnny rushed in the lab and yelled "The Green Goblin is holding a hostage on the Empire State Building,we gotta move Parker fast!". "Not him again!" Peter said frustrated and he put on his mask and rushed out of the building  with Johnny. They got to the roof and they stood there for a second.Spidey aimed for the building across the street,pressed his webshooter button and that iconic thwip sound,web went straight from his wrist and sticked to the other building. "Come on let me hear it" Peter said while he was ready to jump and start swinging.''You got it'' said Johnny. Seconds later he started running towards the edge of the building. When he was near the edge he jumped and yelled "FLAME ON!!!" then Johnny's body bursted into flames and he was Johnny no more..He was THE HUMAN TORCH. Peter smilled underneath his mask as he started swinging towards the Empire State Building with The Human Torch flying by his side. They were going fast,they had to hurry up,a person was in danger,hostage of the Green Goblin. The two heroes arrive at the Empire State Building and they see The Green Goblin riding his glider holding an old woman,the woman is screaming because she is scared,as our heroes are getting closer Spider-Man stops. "Oh no..." he said as he soon realized that this old woman Green Goblin is holding...is his Aunt,May. "He is holding Aunt May" Spidey said to Human Torch. "Do you think he kno-" Johnny is interrupted by The Goblin's evil laugh as he came closer to the heroes "Well well well...If it isn't Spider-Man and the Human Torch!! I've been expecting you Spider-Man..or should I say..Peter..Parker?" Green Goblin said with his evil and Intriguing voice. "How does he know?" Johnny asked Peter. "I have no idea Johnny,but we are going to stop him." He replied. Spider-Man stood still,out of both his hands he threw webs next to Green Goblin,he then pulls his body back and throws himself at Green Goblin's face causing Ant Man to fall on a balcony of the Empire State Building as the Green Goblin falls back. "Help your Aunt,I can handle the Goblin." Johnny said as he threw a ball of fire right on Green Goblin's face. Spider-Man sees that Johnny is distracting The Green Goblin so he jumps right next to Aunt May,he gets down to one knee and helps her get up. "Are you alright ma'am?" he asked while changing his voice on a different tone so his Aunt wouldn't realize who Spider-Man really is. "I am alright,thank you for saving me Pe...Spider-Man!" Aunt May said with a smile on her face as she got up.In all of a sudden Johnny falls right next to them,his leggs are frozen."I can't move,I can't move my leggs,he threw a bomb at me and..Agghh." Johnny says panicked.From the backround you can hear the Goblin's evil laugh coming closer,Peter is feeling something weird,it is his Spider-Sense warning him about a danger that's coming towards him so Spidey jumps on the front grabs Aunt May and they fall down as a bomb explodes above them,the balcony where the two heroes and May were on is torn in half,they start falling from the Empire State Building,Peter is holding Aunt May on his arms but sees that Johnny's leggs are still frozen,he can't save himself,Spider-Man has to thing fast so he shoots a web out of his one hand,holding his hand with the other,the web sticks to the building,Peter sticks the other edge of the web to Aunt May's back,she's safe for now but Spidey and Johnny keep falling. As they fall Spider-Man with his left hand shoots web on the building and at the same time,with his right hand shoots web on Jonny's chest.Peter can't move. If he moves Johnny dies,but he can't leave Aunt May there all alone.Spidey starts pulling Johnny up so he can place him somewhere safe.While he pulls his friend up he hears a loud scream,it was his Aunt,she was in danger,Spider-Man HAS to help his Aunt but he can't let Johnny go.Green Goblin grabs Aunt May while he holds a knife and says "It's either your friend or her Spider-Man!!". Peter sees that Green Goblin is holding a knife so with all his strenght he manages to pull Johnny high enough so the web he was tied up sticks to the building. Then he starts running on the building with the help of his powers,Goblin starts laughing,Peter runs faster and then he jumps,he aims for Green Goblin as the web is leaving from his wrist. Then Goblin laughs louder as he stabs Aunt May on the back,Peter then yelled "NOOOO" as the body of his aunt fell to his hands.Green Goblin flew away laughing. Spider-Man put his Aunt on a balcony as he hold her hand and covered her wound. "Peter...take your mask off..I wanna see you.." May said. Peter quickly took his mask off,he couldn't see clearly,his eyes well teared up,he hold his Aunt's hand as tight as possible. "Aunt May please...We have time..I can take you to the nearest hos-" Peter got interrupted by his Aunt saying "Your uncle would be proud Peter...make me proud and don't give up...We love you..." May said with her last breath...She wasn't holding Peter's hand anymore..She was gone."No..Aunt May no..please.." Peter's hand was covered with his Aunt's blood as he started crying over her dead body...His Aunt was gone.
