The Boy Who Got Drunk:
Somewhere along the road, the stereotypical "love at first sight" was a concept that mattered to me. I couldn't have just layed eyes on a girl, passing me by on a street; it had to happen at exactly midnight in Times Square, and just incidently we would be the only ones there. I spent hundreds on bouquets of "the most nourished flowers, you will ever lay eyes on, my friend"; just to see those same flowers in the trashchute, merely a few hours later. However, this game of romance I played, was up until my 21st birthday; and on that day what changed my perspective of love, was a forceful concept, very forceful infact, being; a pretty wild party, with a very rough morning that had followed. Rough as in alchol poisoning, rough. And a trip to the the ol' friend we all have, who's first name is generally Dr. Yup, Seth Wethersfeild, which so devotedly was my name, was up for a doctor's visit; and that being my worst nightmare, I was bound to have an ironic time. And, oh, did I....
The Girl Who Had "Saved Him":
Some girls grow up being terrified of blood, or paranoid, but there a few exceptions such as me. But like girls I am scared about something and that something is boys. Why? Well, for starters my dream was to be a nurse so obviously I'm not paranoid about blood. Boys however, that's a different story. Maybe there was a time once when I was like any other girl and wanted a boyfriend. There was a time when like, any other girl, I loved gettting valentine's day cards and teddy bears. But that ended when I met Derek Morgenstern in college. Another thing I'm nervous about thanks to that jerk, is sadly my dyslexia. Things have been harder for me since I found out when I was six years old and I'm not proud of it. Of course, being the stubborn nature I am I found a way to still get A's, and I wasn't going to let dyslexia stop me. That was, until Derek showed up. He was a hot guy with a crooked smile and an attitude that wasn't about to agree with denial which basically screamed " the perfect guy". Until that one dreadful date. I had been dating him for over a year now, but I never told him about my dyslexia. I just couldn't tell him about it. He was one of those smart guys and I was afraid that if I told him about my dyslexia he'd dump mcause I wouldn't be smart enough. Exactly what happened. I was an idiot to think I could trust him with a secret like that. I still remember his exact words from that night and I still cry about it sometimes, "Listen, I'm working to a master's degree. I need to be with someone who's smart, not a dyslexic, it's just not good for my reputatuion, I'm sorry we're through." Okay;
a) how dare he treat me like I'm stupid just becaues of dyslexia, I was still doing well in school
b) Oh come ON! He's the blonde boy! (Sorry to all blondes that aren't stupid, but still it applies to the situation)
So yeah, he messed me up and soon I became so depressed I stopped caring about school and let myself get C's. After that horrible summer I looked at my advance algebra book and think "what the hell am I doing? I can't let him ruin me like this and mess up my life." So I tried getting back on track, but sadly I fell behind so much I've never been able to get higher than a B+. So from then on I swore to myself, no more boyfriends. Yeah as if that lasted. I met Seth Wethersfield.
