Chapter 30

Daniel's (P.O.V)

As Alex fixed my bow tie a sudden feeling came to me, as her face was close to mine. I didn't know how this could be but I looked down to find that she was tippy toeing to get an equivalent height on me. This feeling I had was familiar. It was the same feelings I felt last night on that couch. I stared at her eyes. Her beautiful brown eyes. When she looked up to me I realize she wasn't focused on my eyes but on something else. I didn't know what to do or what she wanted. I just closed my eyes for a brief moment to think of a way to make this moment make me feel less awkward for myself. I wasn't always good in situations like this although surprisingly as I closed my eyes my lips felt warm. They were touched by hers, soft and sweet. I wrapped my arms by her waist never wanting to let go. I believed she had the same ambitions as mine because her magical hands worked up my neck and behind my ears once again. This moment, a moment that I have lived not so long ago, felt right. Soon, ever so quickly reality set in for the both of us. We both let each other go and felt a little awkwardness between us. Alex moved back from me a little bit.

"Wow..." I stupidly sighed. Alex looked down and smiled.

Maybe even laughed quietly at me. I felt my self turning red and panicky. I rubbed the back of my neck and turned around. I then proceeded to go back into the dressing room. I made a face palm and silently said "stupid, stupid, stupid". I changed out of my costume. I struggled to take off bow tie so I sheepishly came out of the dressing room.

"Uh... can I get a little help please?" I asked Alex while pointing at the bow tie. She smiled and turned me around. This time she made me crouch down so she can reach. She easily took off the tie and I went into my room for one last time. There was silence between Alex and I. I wanted to break it but I didn't know how. I tried on the dress pants she chose for me and surprisingly it fit.

"Hey Alex! You got my dress pants size right. It fits perfectly."

I said in effort to minimize the awkwardness. I got no reply. I took off the flannel I wore and put it back on the hanger. I asked Alex if I should button it up but once again no reply. Sigh. I did it anyways. I picked out the white button up Alex chose for me. As I put it on I was about to button it up until Alex came bursting in.

"WAIT! Wear this..." Alex lost her words. She stop mid sentence. She scared me when she yelled WAIT so instinctively,I put my hands up in the air. My hands we're still in the air. I took a step back.

"Alex! You scared me... I guess I forgot to lock the door" I said relieved. I put my hands down and looked at her. She was weirdly staring at me.

"Um Alex?" I said waving my hand in front of her face.

"Huh?..." Alex looked confused but then she looked back at me.

"Oh...uh...yea...uh" Alex kept mixing up her words. She gestured her hand forwards towards me and presented me a black tie.

"Do you want me to wear this one instead of the red one?" I guessed. She didn't say anything to me. She just blankly stared.

She muttered "Mhmm...." I took the tie from her and gave her black the red one. Then she quickly ran out of the dressing room. What was up with her? Do I kiss that bad?
