Dani's eyes widened slightly as the words reached his ears. He had been waiting around to hear those words hopelessly, and now that she said them, all he could do was freeze.

His eyes drifted to Jack. The curly headed boy was determined to get these two together, and a spark of hope burst when he heard the words Bri had said.

Jack gave Dani a reassuring nod, gesturing for him to answer.

All three of the teens were thinking the same thing. 'Please say something.'

Dani's mouth remained closed. He couldn't think of anything to say. Needless to say, he was speechless.

Jack's hope was dissipating with every silent moment, yet he persevered in trying to make Dani say something, anything.

Bri waited for a response, her heart dropping as he speak. She was hoping it was some kind of glitch or something, but she could see him just fine.

She looked down at her lap, biting her inner lip in embarrassment. Dani's gaze went back and forth between Jack and Bri, unable to process what she said.

"I'll see you later, Dani." She mumbled out before hitting the end button. Bri's phone dropped in her lap as her hand went limp.

She sat cross-legged on her bed, feeling pathetic before she heard Char speak up, who was unaware of what happened.

"No cheesy saying this time?" She slurred, eyes closed. "I was waiting for that."

Bri shook her head, chuckling. "Judging by what I just told him, I doubt we'll be saying that in a while."

According to Char's light snores, she had fallen back asleep and didn't hear a single word Bri had said.

Jack felt like slamming his head against the wall once the call ended. "Daniel James Seavey, you are the biggest idiot."

"I know." Dani said, laying his phone down and rubbing his forehead.

"What were you thinking?!"

"I-I don't know! I was thinking about what she said!" His voice started to get frantic.

"But you didn't seem to be thinking about what to say back!" Jack retorted, his voice getting a little more louder.

"You're making me panic!"

"You should! Call her back!"

"I can't, she's probably sleeping. I don't wanna disturb her." Dani's eyebrows scrunched together.

Jack was about to respond before Corbyn and Jonah peeked out of their bunks.

"Can you guys calm it? What's got you so bad anyway?" Zach poked his head out last, eyes squinted.

Jack sighed, "Daniboy here just screwed it up with Bri."

Immediately the three boys perked up, nearly falling out of their beds.
