"You don't look like a lesbian." The boy smirked looking at my body up and down before finally settling on my chest.
I took one last drag of the cigarette and used my boot to squish it, I took my knee and kicked him in the one place it'd hurt.
"Go...

"Violet!" I turned around quickly to see my best friend running towards me, looking all over the place per usual. His hair teal hair that was cut low was wet and sticking to his head dripping water with every step he took, and his unbuckled belt bouncing with every step he made. He finally started to take a deep breath and slow down as he got closer to me, dropping the black converse that he had been carrying on the ground and fitting his feet inside.
"Late, per usual." I smiled bending down to help him tie his other shoe, Benji has always been chronically late to school so much so that I had started walking to his house thirty minutes earlier just to make sure we got to school on a decent time.
"This time I actually have a reason, fucking Katie was trying to convince me to make time for her to go on a dinner date, but I know she's just trying to have another one of those god-didn't-make-you-gay chats. Well you know what Katie boo? Fuck that. I love dick way too much." Benji cheesed sticking his tounge out in evrey which direction for emphasis. I pushed him joking and he grabbed his heart dramatically.
"How could you do that, and to your best friend!" Benji laughed, "Well I guess your going to have to walk to school alone then!" Benji tried to run ahead, but of course Benji being Benji tripped on his untied shoelaces and fell to the ground.
I couldn't help but laugh in hysterics as Benji got up holding his now scraped elbow and flashed me a look.
"It's not funny I could've been hurt seriously..and this hurts!" He pouted looking at his tiny wound with a frown before walking along long side of me again.
"So what are you going to do about having to stay home all summer? I can assure you I'll be having a wonderful time on my trip, soaking in the summer sun and working on my beautiful tan." Benji spoke rubbing his arms as if he was applying sun tan lotion.
I didn't really know how to feel about staying with my parents, my mom hardly talked and my dad was always angry. But I knew if I kept to myself I could just relax and be a waste of space all summer.
"Eh, I dunno." I replied simply shifting the weight of my book bag onto my other shoulder. Curse my teachers for making us do so much bookwork that we won't even remember two years after graduating from this shithole society wants to call a school.
The surroundings began to change as we reached the overcrowded place we called school, it was a teen marketplace for sure, students walking around laughing, gossiping over what they were going to be doing once the final weeks of school were out, many people were running in and out of the Starbucks across the street taking their time to walk across the street while the people in their cars trying to get to worked beeped frantically. I did my best to avoid them, I hated human contact.
"Violet!" I heard a familiar voice call.
Me and Benji turned our heads to see my girlfriend Samantha struggling to climb down the huge school fence, I didn't understand why she didn't just walk a few steps to the opening, but then again that was Samantha for you, always doing things that was unneeded. She finally pulled her foot over the fence and ran and embraced me. I ran my hands through her hair leaning down to kiss her, pecking her lips one final time before finally releasing her from the kiss.
"You guys are gross, PU." Benji joked taking the Starbucks cup that Samantha was holding and taking a sip of her caramel frappuccino, the only drink that Samantha ever got. Samantha didn't mind Benji drinking after her, we were all very close and the whole germs bullshit didn't matter to us.
"So what's up guys? We have a test in creative writing today babe, but I bet you're going to do well like you always do." Samantha beamed intertwining her fingers with mine as the three of us walked towards the school.
"Did charlotte dye her hair again? God that girl needs to realize that changing her appearance is not going to make Danny come back, especially when she slept with practically the whole football team, besides Danny isn't exactly straight either." Benji smirked to himself, his eyes hazed over as if he was recalling a nice memory.
"Holy banana nuts! Did you guys hook up! I knew it, I saw the way he was looking at you in the cafeteri-" Benji hurriedly covered Samantha's mouth taking a look around to make sure no one had heard what she had said.
"Shh Sam, Daniel er, he hasn't came out of the closet yet..but he will soon." Benji remarked reassuringly.
The bell rang as soon as we made it into the cold hallways of Bellview Highschool.
"I'll see you later babe!" Samantha smiled showing her full set of teeth and braces she hated so much, she grabbed hands with Benji as they made their way to first period laughing at what was most likely Charlotte's choice of attire.
I began walking to my class that was in the other side of the building not bothering to stop at my locker.
I was halfway there when someone pulled me into an empty classroom, I looked up to see it was none other than my ex: Hayden Travis.
He looked up at me with a guilty look in his eyes, his hair was a mess and he looked like he hadn't slept in days, his wrinkled shirt had a hole in it and his lips were dry and cracking, he looked up at me and whispered the four words I didn't want to hear at the moment:
"We need to talk."
