The air was fresh, the scent of flowers was tropical. I had taken my first step in Alola. The moving van had conveniently dropped our stuff at our new house near Iki Town. One thing was certain: Alola was not the same as Kanto. So I sank down below the covers of my new bed.
"Yellow..." "Yellow..." no avail. "Come on..." still no avail. "Meowth wake her up please," my mother asked the small Kantonian cat. "Meowth," it purred and jumped onto my sleeping body. "Uhhh..." I groaned and sat up, my blonde ponytail messy and hair in my face. "So my little Sleeping Beauty awakes, you slept like a Snorlax, the jet lag must have hit you pretty hard. Come on, Kukui will be waiting." My vision cleared and I saw my mother in her T-shirt and skirt, her brown hair cascading over her shoulders, sunglasses perched on her head. I heaved myself out of bed and tugged on my clothes suitable for Alola.
