Chapter 5:

When we came back to school Lucas was really busy with everything. Every time I would want to hang out with him he would say yes and then cancel last minute. I was really alone besides having my "legal guardian" ,Alex. I was so lonely so Alex decided to go for a girls night out.
Alex: "Aria, come on you need to get this boy out of your head."
Aria: "How did..."
Alex: "I have known you your whole life. I just know."
Aria: "Still not going."
Alex: "Aria, I had a boyfriend just like yours. He was a vampire. He would make plans with me then cancel on me. Then one day I decided that I couldn't stand it anymore and broke up with him. And then I met the love of my life Jake who isn't a vampire but doesn't care that I am."
Aria: "Wow great speech. Mom!"
Alex: "Would your mom force you to go to a club? Huh?"
Aria: "No. but..."
Alex: "You are going and that is final."
Aria: "FINE!!!"
As I walk to my room I hear Alex laughing. We have been friends for such a long time and just had a mother daughter fight with her about a, club??
She is so crazy. I guess I have no way out of this. As long as Lucas is not there I am good.

We start to head out to the club and I get a text from Lucas. Of course right when I try to get over him he has to text me this is so stupid. But of course I care about him to much to ignore it.

Lucas: Hey!
Aria: Hi?
Lucas: What's up with u?
Aria: I don't know u have been ignoring me for a week!!! 💔
Lucas: Aria, I was just really busy. 😞
Aria: To busy for me 😥.
Lucas: Aria don't do that I feel so bad. What about we hang out tonight?😘
Aria: Lucas I don't think so. I am busy going out with Alex.👯
Lucas: OK 😥
Aria: ttyl 👋🏻

I just sat in the car sad. He ignored me for a week and now wants to be with me. Not happening. He could have at least talked to me but no.

Alex: "Who was that?"
Aria: "No one"
Alex: "It was Lucas wasn't it."

Alex quickly grabbed my phone and through it out the window.

Aria: "HEY!!!"
Alex: "I will get you a new phone later."
Aria: "Fine"

We finally get to the club. Alex goes and introduces me to her friends.

Alex: "Aria this is my husband Jake."
Aria: "Alex, I know I went to your wedding and live with him. Hey Jake!!"
Jake: "How's my favorite girl?"
Alex: "HEY!!!!!"
Aria: "I am doing good. I haven't seen you since your business trip last week."
Jake: "How's that boyfriend of yours?"
Aria: "ALEX!!!"
Alex: "JAKE!!!"
Jake: "Never mind then."

So Alec introduced me to a couple other people who seemed really nice. And I had a great time. It was good to get Lucas off my mind for a while. It was to good to be true.
That's when I found Lucas drunk and crying at the bar.

Lucas: "Why doesn't she love me? Everyone loves me. I am the Lucas James. Captain of the football team, school president, and really smart."

If only he knew how much I loved him.

Aria: "Lucas, it's me Aria."
Lucas: "Aria? Aria!!! I love you so much!!"
Aria: "I love you too. K. Let me get you home."
Lucas: "Don't take me home I don't want my parents to see me like this!!"
Aria: "Ok fine then I will take you to my house. Ok?"
Lucas: "ok."

I told Alex I was going home. She was angry but understood. Lucas was not in good shape. He fell asleep in the car. I picked him up. Thank god for this super strength or I would be squished. I put him on my bed and he was asleep the whole time. And then he started to sleep talk.

Lucas: "Aria, I love... you (snore) will you marry (snore)... yes. (snore)."

Did Lucas just propose to me in his sleep?!
