Lunch was over and it was time to continue the project. The bell rang and I went in to the classroom were all the students were sitting. I sat on my place, were I sat last time, which was of course back in the classroom. My so-called 'partner' was supposed to show up. But as I expected, he wasn't there. I mean who would skip one class, and then casually walk in and act like nothing was wrong. He was probably sick and needed to go him. Whatever happened he probably got a good reason.
Everyone has started working, and I was the only one who haven't started yet. Okay, I'm such a drama queen. It has only been 8 minutes, but still.
A door slamming in the wall interrupted my thoughts. I jumped a little and kept my eyes locked on the person who came in the door. It was him.
"Oh Cayden, there you are. You missed last period, which means detention" Mrs Smith said like it was the least important or groundbreaking thing in the whole world. I looked at the boy. He just rolled his eyes.
"Cayden, you'll be working with Mirabell. You are going to work on a group project, were you'll be making a portrait of each other" she continued.
How dumb could a be? Of course. He is my partner. I've been starring at his gorgeous presence that I didn't figure out that we were actually going to be partners. He walked towards me and set down beside me.
"I'm Bella" I said quietly trying to change his mood, or maybe soften him up.
"Shall we start?" I continued. He looked at me with a death glare. I nodded slowly as I started drawing a flower on my notebook. He obviously didn't want to work with me.
His lips were red and smotchy. It was like he just came out from a making out scene with a girl with red lipstick. His hair was messy, and the sun hit his face and made his water green eyes stand out even more. You could see his muscular underneath his black long sleeved tightfitting sweater. He looked forward like he didn't even know that I was sitting right next to him. That gave me the opportunity to study him.
You mean check him out?
No, I mean study him..
Then suddenly he stood up and left the classroom. He smelled the door behind him, without even bother to look at me. He just walked out of the classroom, as if he ruled this place.
I was left in my chair, with everybody around me looking at me as if it was my fault. I gulped and shaked me had slowly to clear my thoughts. I didn't do anything, and he just humiliated me like that? What was wrong with him?
I pushed the chair behind me and quickly walked to the door. Mrs. Smith looked at me and nodded. I smiled and ran out of the classroom. I would never let him get away with that. This was actually important to me, even though I've just been drawing a flower the whole period. Either way, I was going to find him, and I was going to make this work once and for all. Or rather once and for me.
