Vanished

Taken

     Halle opens the the front door and walks in. She sat her backpack on the table and ran to find her mom. Halle's mom was upstairs on her computer, working.
    "Mom can I go to the park and meet cooper there?" Halle yelled as she ran up the stairs.
    Her mom looked up from her computer, " um, yes but you have to take your brother. I don't want you going alone."
    Halle rolled her eyes, "aw, fine."
    Halle ran to her brother, " Jake, come on get ready you have to come to the park with me."
    Jake turned around in his chair and looked at Halle. He took off his headphones and looked at Halle confused.
    "Why! I'm super busy right now."
    Halle roller her eyes, "ya I'm sure your video game is super important, but come on you have to come with me to the park to meet cooper."
    Jake ran his fingers through his crazy brown hair, "uh, fine."
    Halle nodded and ran downstairs and out the door, Jake met her outside a few minutes later. His hair was combed and he had a clean shirt on. They started to walk down the street to the park. With a few minutes of walking, they made it to the park. Halle and Jake looked around and only saw little kids playing on the jungle gym. Jake saw some of his friends talking by a tree, Jake wasn't like his sister. He had many friends and was very talkative in class. Talkative to the point where he gets in trouble by his teachers.
    "Halle I'm going to go talk to my friends." Jake said as he pointed to his group of friends.
    Halle nodded and looked for cooper. Halle turns her head and sees cooper leaning against the wall ball wall. She waves and walks over.

    As Jake talked to his friends, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. Every minute, he would look at his sister to make sure she was ok. Halle and cooper where talking next to the wall ball wall.
    Halle and cooper kept talking to cooper, mostly about school.
    "Cooper, did you pass that test toda-"
    "Halle look out!" Cooper yelled cutting off Halle.
    Just then, Halle was hit over the head with a pole.

    Jake looked over at the wall and saw no one, he told his friends he had to go and walked over to the wall ball. He felt something was wrong. He looked everywhere, but there was no sign of Halle or cooper. Worried, Jake ran home as fast as he could.
    Their mom, Allison, was cooking in the kitchen when the door flung open, she peered around the corner and saw Jake run inside.
    "Mom! Mom! Mom!" He yelled as he tried to catch his breath. "It's Halle! She's gone!"
    Allison was stunned, " Jake, Jake, Jake. Slow down, calm down. Tell me slowly, what happened, and where Halle is."
    "Ok, when we got there I saw some of my friends. So I went over to hang out with them while Halle hung out with cooper. Something was... off, so I started to check on her every minute or so. When I looked at her and cooper the next time, they where gone! They-they-they vanished!"
    Allison looked concerned, "come on we're going back to find them."
    She got her keys and Allison and Jake drove to the park.
