I never got the chance to hold you. And biologically you aren't mine. But that doesn't make you my daughter any the less. Alice, I know you're up there taking care of your siblings. I can't help but think about what it would be like to raise you- to love you. Alice, I don't know what you would've looked like - other than flat-out, simply beautiful. I would've loved the chance to raise you with your brother. Your sister on the way. Alice - you're not mine genetically but you are mine all the same. To be honest, I don't really know what to write to you... Alice - don't you ever forget that Mommy and Daddy love you. More than life itself.
