Morning Park Trip

Aries P.O.V

Beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm went. I sheepishly opened my eye's to see that the alarm was not mine but my roommate, Aquarius, and it read 7:00. Grumbling about how only Aqua would want to get up this early on a Saturday I stood up and turned off the alarm. Before I could go back to sleep I had another idea.

Maneuvering around her bed I pulled of her blanket in one motion revealing the still sleeping Aquarius. Staring down I look at her, despite being 17 she looked more like a 14 year old at most. I had an evil grin on my face as I prepared to do it. I quickly pushed the sleeping girl waking her up.

"Huh? Wha-uff!" She exclaimed as she crashed to the floor. There was a moment of silence as I stood waiting for her reaction, I didn't have to wait long. Aquarius popped up from the floor positively trembling with anger.

"What the heck was that for!" She shouted through clenched teeth. "Why'd you push me?"

"Sorry shrimp it was your idea to get up at seven." I said trying and failing to conceal a grin. Aquarius seemed to calm down a bit though she folded her arms and gave a pouting look which meant she trying to look tough but only makes her look even more adorable.

"I'm not that short." She pouted. "Seriously you look old enough to be in the same grade as Virgo!" I was exaggerated her small size, it was an old joke between us. It started when we meet and I called her kid and in response she hit me in the face. I was so impressed by her bravado that we've been friends ever since.

"Would you stop saying that! I'm not that short!" She shouted but now she two was smiling.

"Alright just get dressed, Taurus is probably up by now and that means breakfast will be ready soon." I said tossing Aqua her clothes and grabbing my own and heading to the bathroom.

After getting dressed Aqua and I headed down stairs from our room to the kitchen where Taurus was indeed awake and making breakfast, at two of the chairs sat Leo and Taurus' little sister Virgo. When they saw us Taurus set out two plates then went back to his cooking.

"Hi Aries, hi Aqua!" Virgo said cheerfully playing with a small toy Leo had given her.

"Hey there kiddo what you doing up so early?" I asked ruffling her hair, Aqua just sat down and waited for breakfast.

"Virgo's always up early, why do you think I'm always up." Taurus said from the stove.

"What about you?" Virgo asked. "Yeah you're never up this early on a weekend Aries." Leo said joining the conversation. I nodded towards where Aqua was sitting quietly.

"Little miss silent treatment over there decided it would be a great idea to set her alarm on yet never turned it off so I had to get up and do it myself." The evil smile from earlier appeared on my face. "I also pushed Aqua out of her bed to wake her up."

A bark of laughter came from Taurus as he set a batch of fried eggs, bacon, and a plate full of pancakes. "Alright dig in." We needed no further instruction, we knew Taurus was already making more for the others. As I ate I listened as Leo told us his idea to go out latter.

"Where would we all be going?" A voice asked from behind us. Startled we turned around to see the gloomy figure of Scorpio. "Well? Do you have something in mind?" He asked sitting down next to Aqua.

"I was thinking of the park, seems like a nice day so why not enjoy it." Leo said waiting for our answer.

"I would love to go to the park!" Virgo said happily. "I'm fine with it, at least it won't be boring." Aqua said between mouthfuls of bacon. "If Virgo's going count me in." Taurus said setting Scorpio's plate down. "I guess I'll go." Scorpio said removing his veil to eat. "Well then I'm in too." I said cheerfully eating.

The other's came down at their own time and after hearing Leo's idea they all agreed. After everyone finished their breakfast we headed out for the park. I knew Leo loved to come here at night to look at the stars, and Virgo loves the park. Everyone split up into groups once we arrived. Leo and Taurus were dragged off to play with Virgo, Scorpio and Cancer were talking under a try apparently it was something bad judging by the look in Scorpio's eyes, Libra and Gemini were hanging out by a bench, I could see Capricorn had his arm around Pisces which confused as I didn't know those two were close. Then there was Aqua, Sagittarius, and myself by the swing set.

Sagittarius breathed in deeply taking in the air. "It really is a nice morning, it would be a waste to spend it standing around, I'm going for a jog either of you in?" she asked.

"No we're fine." Aqua answered for me taking a seat on one of the swings. "Okay then, see you later." Then Sagittarius was off, jogging into the distance. "Probably won't see her until we leave." Aqua said in a bored tone gentle rocking back and forth in the swing. "This is getting boring fast." She said

"I could give you a push if you want." I had already decided to do so, all I wanted to know if she agreed. "I don't know..."

"Come on it'll be fun, don't be a shrimp." I worded that carefully to get a reaction, I succeeded.

"I'm not a shrimp! If you are going to push then do it." She said readying herself.

"Alright here we go!" I said pushing her lightly sending her up. I did this for a few minutes, drawing a few stares from onlookers. "Come on I know you can do better than that, hit me with your best!" Aquarius said finally enjoying that. I smiled and waited till the right moment, then pushed her with all my strength. Aquarius went skyrocketing out of the swing and sever feet into the air.

"Oh might have overdone that a little bit." I said watching her accent. "It was a good push though."

I could see Aquarius was starting to descend and I started running, hoping I could catch her before she hurt herself.

Gemini P.O.V.

"I hope this week's classes go well. I really don't want to spend another late nighter." I was telling Libra when I heard a strange sound.

"Hey Libra do you hear that?" I asked looking around for the source of the noise. Libra was also looking around, and then he looked up. "Um, Gemini. You might want to look up." He said staring up.

I looked up to see something, or someone plummeting down, then I saw that it was somehow Aquarius.

"Oh no, you have to be kid-" I was cut off as Aquarius landed on top of me.

Aries P.O.V.

When I caught up to Aqua I was glad to see her uninjured, and surprisingly she was practically choking on laughter. Gemini, who was groaning underneath the laughing girl, did not look nearly as happy. Libra just looked curious.

"This is not something you see everyday. Are you alright Gemini?" He asked looking down at them.

"Yeah I'm fine, just on thing. Get this girl off of me!" He said from underneath the laughing Aquarius.

"I got it." I said stepping forward, I then scooped up Aquarius into my arms as easy as a child. "Hey!" She said before I set her down.

"Thank you, but next time can you not use me as a landing platform for rocket girls." Gemini said brushing himself off.

Before any of us could respond Scorpio and Leo appeared with an upset looking Cancer. "Hey the three of us have to take off, we'll be back within the hour." Leo said, his usual cheerfulness replaced with a look I did not normally see on him, grim acceptance. I had not seen that since the purges of Leo and Scorpio over six months ago.

As the three left the park heading to campus I saw Aquarius also recognized the look. "This won't end well." She said watching them. "But I guess we can still hope."

"Yeah, hope." I said wondering how this day would go after all.
