I kinda made it my routine to work on a bit of this chapter every day, just to forgive my long hiatus

Frisk's P.O.V

The crunching of snow against my boots was both satisfying and unnerving.

The path ahead of me had little to no amount of snow mixing in with the path. All of it was brushed to the side near the tall spruce trees.

Crack

The familiar sound of the twig snapping underneath my feet was loud, most likely catching the attention of other monsters. I ignore the effects of snapping the small stick and pushed onwards.

I neared a familiar small and rickety bridge, an unknown feeling of unease washed over me as sounds of footsteps steadily neared me from behind. It got closer slowly until it was just a few meters away from me.

"Human..." The ominous voice started, "Don't you know how to greet a new pal?"

Already knowing what to do, I turned around to face the all-too-familiar skeleton. He held his hand up for me to grab and I accepted, holding it firmly with my pre-dominant hand. A faint sound that was similar to a 'fart' or a 'raspberry' echoed in the awkward silence of the surrounding.

The sound continued to die down until it finished, the monster in front of me widened his permanent smile, "Ah, the ol' whoopee cushion on the hand trick, it's always funny," he commented.

Then, his smile seemed to twitch a bit and lackened, "Hm? How did ya know that ya'd haf'ta shake my hand... if I didn't tell ya yet?" He asked with a tone of confusion, interest, and wariness. This is Sans, the carefree and laidback, yet alert and intelligent monster of Snowdin.

Due to my true reset, even his superb memory, that is almost close to eidetic memory, couldn't remember me... not clearly at best.

Chapter 3: Stay Alert.

Y/N's P.O.V

You awoke with a groan, furrowing your brows and forcing yourself to unconsciousness in hopes that you could continue sleeping ---it failed, of course.

You grumbled to yourself, "That was the first dreamless memory in a long time..."

You lazily look at your right wrist to glance at your watch... it wasn't there. You frantically search your small tent to find your missing hand-clock.

Just several minutes later, you facepalmed. "I didn't bring my watch, didn't I?" You sighed, cursing at your stupidity for forgetting the watch at home and forgetting that you didn't bring it.

You let out a loud yawn and stretched, leaving your tent and stepping foot into the cave that currently housed you. The air was cold, freezing cold. You shivered a bit before braving the temperature.

Your stomach grumbled in hunger, alarming you that it wants its sustenance. Half-grumbling, you sit out and eat the meager remains of your food. You didn't compeltely devoured everything and saved a bit of food for your expidition back home.

Having finished a short breakfast, you packed up your things and left the cave, heading towards your destination once more. Hopefully, you'd reach there in just a short while. Especially so because you ad a nagging feeling of unease that followed you, like something is watching you under their peering gaze.

Fortunately, you did. You spot the familiar giant hole that was identical to your dream, you let out a sigh of glee and victory. You turned around and gazed downwards, the small grove that surrounded the mountain was but a small range of trees in your eyes. Looking further, a river stretched from the grove towards your homely village, which looked like a miniature town to your position.
