Bailey's POV:
"Tony stop shouting please." I asked him. "Your gonna upset Bella."
I had her in my arms. It had been a couple days since we found out she has powers. The team was all in the living room exept for Thor and Bruce. Soon after Bella was born they just...disappeared. Sam and Rhodes along with Vision and Wanda were there also.
"Well they won't listen. Not even to me. I mean, who wouldn't want to listen to me?" Tony scoffed.
Clint raised his hand. "Oh shut it Robin hood." Tony mumbled.
Bella began to get fussy again. I don't know why but it's like she can sense what we're all feeling.
I shushed her gently. Steve was sitting next to me with his hand around my shoulders. He had seemed to be more affectionate after we had Bella.
"If we sign the Accords then we sign away our freedom. How's that fair?" Sam asked.
Rhody stood up to counter Sam. "Look at the damage we've caused. New York, Sokovia, Wokanda, the list goes on. And we're not being held responsible."
Wanda put her head down. I put my hand on her knee. "Let's not mention the places we've been. For all our sakes." I suggested.
Rhody put his hand up as if to apologize.
"You try Savin the world with nothing broken. Sorry to burst your bubble, but bad guys like to make a mess. We can't control them. We do our best but it's not that easy." Sam fired back.
I looked over at Steve, who was deep in thought. I knew what side he was on, I didn't have to read his mind to know.
"What if there's a place we need to go and they don't let us? Say we found out something they don't believe and we can't go and save whoever is in trouble? What happens to them?"
"And then we're responsible for us not saving the world like we're supposed to. Cause that's our job." I said the last part as I looked at Tony. I added to Steve's train of thought.
"If I may," Vision stood up, he was neatly dressed in a vest with a white collar shirt under it. "Both sides do have it's pros and cons. But we need to think about not just who we're saving, but who we're hurting in the process. I believe the most logical choice is to be held accountable. And we do that by signing the Accords."
"There, case closed." Rhody put his hands up.
I sighed. "It's not that simple." I mumbled.
"Oh I think it is." Tony shot a stare my way. He stood up and showed us a picture on his futuristic watch. It was a boy, he looked about 20, he had darker skin and was smiling. "See him? Helping to improve the conditions of the poor. He was in sokavia, Buildings houses for them. Was getting a degree in engineering. And we dropped a building on his head."
The last part of Tony's sentence hung in the air. He let it sink in before he continued. "We need the Accords. To limit us and for us to not lose control of ourselves."
Bella soon became squarmy. Wanda gestured to her. "It is all right, I can take her. Just fill me in later." She smiled as she spoke in her Sokovian accent.
I sighed with relief. "Thanks so much Wanda. She likes TV and shiny things." Wanda gently took her and headed down the hall.
Steve grabbed my hand as his phone buzzed. He opened the message. His expression fell blank.
"Steve?" I gently shook his hand as Sam and Tony started bickering.
He showed me the message while looking off into the distance. He got up and blankly said "I got to go." He grabbed my hand and led me to the stairwell which he rested on the railing.
