It All Started With Lou

Surprise!

*Skyler's POV*

Lou is coming in a few days! She said that she has a surprise for me..? I have no clue what the heck it would be though. I hope that it's nothing TOO big. I don't want her spending any money on me. My birthday is coming up in 20 days...my birthday is on July 12. By the time she comes there will be 17 days until my birthday, which is close enough for an early birthday present.

******A few days later*******

Lou just landed! And this time in JFK airport, so she is driving straight to my house! It's pretty late right now though...maybe I'll let her crash here for a while.

It's 12am now and about five escalades pull into my driveway. Well there goes me enjoying SNL. Then I remembered, it's Lou! But with five escalades? There's something fishy here. I step out into the thick, humid, early-summer air and walk up to Lou.

"Hey girl! Why are there so many escalades in--?" I ask before I get interrupted by Lou.

"Don't ask. You'll find out in 3..2..1.."

At that moment all five members of One Direction step out of an escalade. I almost pass out. This is NOT something that you see everyday.

*Niall's POV*

The plane lands and as I exit the terminal I get butterflies in my stomach. I feel my cheeks flush and I'm smiling like an idiot. I thought that Skyler would be waiting outside the terminal for us, but, of course, Lou forgot to tell me that she wasn't going to be. I was a bit disappointed that she wasn't there waiting for me--I mean us. At least there are no fans bombarding us. We kept this visit a secret so that we can have an uninterrupted landing. We all climb into the escalades and I'm exhausted. I think that I'll just take a little nap...

"NIALL! GET UP! GET UP! WE HAVE MCDONALD'S!" Oo! McDonald's! But why not Nando's? I REALLY want Nando's....

"Where is it? Give it to me!" Then I get two bags of food handed to me. "Yum" I say with a grin. What? I'm hungry! "Why isn't it Nando's?"

"Are you serious Niall?!?!" Lou asks me in disbelief.

"Serious about what? I'm thankful for the McDonalds but I could go for some Nando's.."

"We are in America, Niall. In New Jersey. Don't you remember?" Liam informs me.

"Oh my gosh! Yeah! Now I remember! How could I be so stupid?"

The butterflies in my stomach start up again because I remember that I'm going to see Skyler shortly.

"Niall! You are not stupid! Don't say that." Zayn scolds. Rough crowd tonight I guess.

The car goes silent and I start eating my food. Once I was done and we were still driving, I got aggravated. Why are we still driving? I was told that it was a short drive.

"Are we there yet??" I complain.

"Niall!!! We are in her driveway! We are just waiting for Lou's cue!"

"Oh. Okay. You all are so grouchy! Why??"

"None of us slept on the plane and figured that 15 more minutes of being awake wouldn't make a difference."

"Ah, I see."

Just then I see Skyler come out of her house. She looks beautiful. Like no one I have ever seen before. She's wearing a beautiful dress and it fits her perfectly. I can't get my eyes off of her. Then we see Lou look back at our car. That's our cue. We step out of the car and into her driveway and her eyes bulge out of her head with her mouth agape. She's stunned and shocked. She starts to wobble backwards and she shakes her head as if she were trying to wake up from a dream. I feel the same way, but I know this is NOT a dream.

"It's not a dream love, this is real life, and this is actually happening"
