Emma's POV:

I woke up to a beeping sound. A very loud beeping sound. I sat up and rubbed my eyes as I looked around, trying to figure out where that sound is coming from.

My phone' screen flashed a few times with a name in bold letters.

On a saturday morning this is the last person I needed to hear.

"What do you want." I spoke into the phone as I lay back down.

"Meet me at the old church at 8:30pm."

"...What?..."

"You heard me."

"To meet you?... But you-"

"JUST DO WHAT I SAID!"

"....Okay okay." I said.

The line went dead and I pulled the phone away from my ear, giving out a shaky breath.

See her?

Isnt this what I waited for all this time.

Isnt this what I hoped for everytime she called.

So... why am I nervous?

"Oh gosh, this is too much to take in." I said to myself turning onto my side to get back to sleep, but I couldn't. Something told me this wouldn't end well.

"The nerves are KILLING me." I said, just thinking about tonight made me anxious.

"Calm down..."

"I'm trying."

Rowan rolled her eyes and leaned forward, smiling. "Are you going or not?"

"Are you crazy! Of course I'm going! What did you think!

Rowan smirked and leaned back, licking her lips. "This will be fun." I raised an eyebrow at that comment but she just smiled and changed the subject. "What will you say to her? I'm sure you've got alot to say."

"First... see who she is."

"Isn't her name Sophia?"

"That's what she said but I know that's not true."

"Really?"

"Duh. You really think she would give me her real name."

"I guess you are right." Rowan shrugged. "What time do you have to meet her?" She said, looking up at the clock. A grin appeared on her face and she stood up. "I have to go, see ya." The door slammed shut telling me she left.

What could have been so important that she left just like that?

I looked at the time. 8:22

Its time.

I drove to the old church with determination. Determination to find out the truth.

Although the bravery and determination in me disapeared when I reached the old church.

I couldn't see her anywhere so I went inside. The church was an old dirty place. It had a few broken windows and a furniture all over the place.

My eyes serched around but the dark made it hard enough. At the end of the church there was a figure. When I got closer I realised this figure is what I came here for. There she stood, dressed in black, smirking from ear to ear. A mask covered her face from me.

"You came." She said, partly suprised.

I didn't recognise her voice.

"What did you expect?" I said.

"I expected the real you to rise."

"The real me?"

"Yeah, the you who backs out and hides. The you before all this." She smirked, taking steps closer.

"Haven't you got a life! A family! Friends!" My anger rose.

"I do, but I enjoy messing up yours more."

I rolled my eyes. "Bitch."

"Ouch. That hurt." She said sarcastically, now standing infront of me.

"Why are you doing this! Why are you trying to ruin my friendship! Kyle is my bestfriend and I love him more than anything! The last thing I want is for him to get hurt!

Terrible mistake. A deadly look appeared on her face making her look like she could explode any second. She grabbed onto my arm, digging her nails into my skin. "Listen carefully Emma, if I can't have Kyle, no one can."

My eyes widened as I tried to register what she said. "Wh-what?"

Using both of her hands she pushed me back, slamming me into the wall. "If. I. Can't. Have. Kyle. No. One. Can!"

"W-what? K-kyle?"

"YES KYLE! DO YOU THINK I GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU!"

I didn't know what to say to her. My mind was everywhere as I tried to process everything.

"Listen here. Either you stay away from Kyle or I'll tell him EVERYTHING! He'll never want to see you again!"

"I HAVE NOTHING WITH KYLE! He's my bestfriend and that's IT."

"I'm warning you Emma. Kill your friendship or I will."

"Never! He's everything to me."

She covered my mouth with her hand and looked me in the eyes.

"I don't care. He's better off without you. Can't you see! You pulled him away from everything he had! You know how popular he was and how much fame he had! You pulled him away from that. You!

I shook my head, refusing to believe the words that came out of her mouth.

"It was all YOU. You ruined everything for him."

I yanked her hand away from my mouth, moving back.

"Thats not true! Its not!" I screamed.

"You had a makeover and you think its all changed. Your still that same kid who hides away, relying on Kyle to come help you. Its still the same, everyone still thinks of you the same way as they did before. So why can't you see that YOU brought him down!"

I didn't speak. Her words hit me and I realised that... they were true. It was all me...

I looked at her as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"If you don't do what I'm telling you to do, then I will, but trust me... not only will he hate you but he'll be ruined, torn apart. All because of you."

"T-this can't-"

"WELL IT IS EMMA! THIS IS LIFE! YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELF SO YOU'RE GONNA END IT OR YOU KNOW WHAT I WILL DO!

My legs felt weak and my mind couldn't take anymore.

"Choose. Will it be the easy way... or the hard way?" She spoke.

After all I've done to Kyle, I never want to hurt him.

I gathered up the courage in me and spoke. "I-I'll do it. Don't tell him about our..."

"What? Your secret game? Don't worry about it." She smirked and opened the church door. "Remember Emma, kill it or I will."

The church door slammed shut and the sound of an engine alerted me she left.

With my back pressed against the wall, I fell to my feet and broke into tears.

What have I done?
