Liza's POV

I woke up in Davids arms. Today is the day I have to break two peoples hearts I have to break mine and Davids I don't want to but if I don't David will get hurt. I start crying and David pulls me closer
D:stop crying beautiful
I wipe my tears and we both sit up David pulls me into a tight hug
D:why are you crying
I hear my phone ding

Unknown: do it now or I'll still hurt him

I hugged David tighter and cried more
L:I... I-I'm bre-.... breaking up with you
I felt his smile completely disappear which only made me cry harder
D:is it something that I did .... can I fix it

L:it's not you at all it's all my fault ok don't put yourself down for this it's MY fault

D:I .. I ... I don't know what to say
I grabbed his face
L:listen it's not because I stopped loving you ok because I still love you it's just I have to

D:why though

L:we need to just stay best friends

D:oh .. ok
He looked sad his eyes got glossy
L:I'll see you at school ok

D:yeah um ok
I took off the ring he got me and passed it to him
L:I don't deserve this ... you should give it to someone who deserves it
He passed it back to me
D:you deserve it .... even if we aren't together I still think you are beautiful
I touched my face and I hugged him
L:I'll see you

D:yeah ok
I left his house and ran into my room and cried my eyes out on my bed.

I walked up to Gabbie
G:girl what's wrong you look like crap crapped you out

L:me and David broke up

G:where is that sun of a gun I'm going to kill him

L:no no I broke up with him

G:then I'm going to kill you

L:please don't tell anyone

G:I promise
We walked into class and I sat next to David
Teacher:ok class get out your books and turn to page 210 we are going to be going over the story "did you do the right thing"
I put my head down and tried not to pay attention I didn't want any of this to haunt me and make me feel worse about tearing Davids heart into halfs then again into fourths

Davids POV

I walked into the cafeteria feeling horrible I just don't understand why Liza broke up with me did I do something wrong I sat at our table and Scotty rubbed my back
S:it's ok
Liza came and sat at the table next to me looking like she was way sadder than me she put her head down on the table
E:hey Liza
She put her head up and turned around
E:come sit at my table

L:nah I'm good right where I am
He grabbed her arm and pulled her up
E:I said come sit at my table
She pushed him off of her
L:don't touch me

E:then come SIT at MY table

L:no I said I'm fine right where I am
That's my girl
Liza sat back down and Eric scoffed and walked away
*time*
I got home and went up stairs and laid back in my bed it still smelled like Liza I started crying
T:David will you play with me

D:not now Toby I'll play with you later

T:ok
I heard his tiny footsteps walk into his room I felt bad about pushing Toby away but I needed space right now to think.
*time*
I heard a knock on my door
D:yes
The door opened
E:David we are hungry

D:yeah ok what do you guys want

T&S:pizza rolls
I heard Liza's voice in my head
L:don't burn them
I smiled and walked downstairs to make the pizza rolls. I put them into the oven and heard a knock on the door. I opened the door to see Liza hold my neatly folded sweatshirts
L:you probably want these back

D:um no you can keep the.... they look better on you

L:thanks .... are you sure

D:yeah

L:ok if you want them back you can just text me

D:ok

L:bye
I didn't mean to but I hugged her but what shocked my was she hugged me back kinda tight we pulled away
D:sorry

L:it's fine ... I needed it

D:oh ok we'll see you later I guess

L:see you later
She walked away and I just watched as she held up her two fingers that molded perfectly into a peace sign. No one other than me and Liza would know what that means but I'll never forget. I closed the door and walked into the kitchen and watched as the timer went off of the pizza rolls. I took them out of the oven and put them on top of the stove to cool off
D:the pizza rolls are done
I heard footsteps running down the stairs and into the kitchen. I had already put the pizza rolls onto separate plates for them. I sat beside Toby
T:can you take me over to Liza's house

D:uh sure ...I'll see if she's busy after school ok

T:yay
I ruffled his hair
T:hey hey hey I'm trying to make an effort to look better than you at all times and it's working
My siblings laughed
D:wow Toby that hurt my feelings

T:oh well
We all continued to eat
*time*
I was tucking Toby in
T:will you and Liza ever break up

D:yes we will

T:well if you do break up then can you still be friends so I can still play with her

D:we will try

T:ok
I kissed his forehead and walked to the door I turn off the light
D:good night Toby

T:good night David
I cracked the door and went back into my room I laid down in my bed that still smelled of Liza I got under the covers and fell asleep
*time*
I heard whispers outside of my door and then it slowly creek open
E&S&T:can we sleep with you
I looked around my bed
D:sure why not
They crawled onto my bed Toby laid on my chest and Ester put her head in the crease of my neck it felt comforting and Sara put her head on my shoulder
D:good night guys

E&S&T:good night David
We all went to sleep
