It all started when I met him.my whole world as I knew it turned upside down. It was my first day at a new school. I'm not the shy type and I'm far from quite. People say I have a temper, I don't think so I think I just have a low tolerance for bullstit lol. Anyways I reported to my counselor ms. Phelps to get my schedule. She gave paper to get my books and told me where to get them. Also handed me a paper with my classes , locker number and a paper she instructed to fill out and turn back into her. She claimed "I hate judging an individual from their past faults so I won't look at the behavioral portion of your transcripts, I like to come up with my own personal opinion on you so fill this out and turn it into me and please try to answer each question as best as possible. Nice meeting you Danielle". She then introduced me to a girl name mya, and informed me how she was going to show me how to get to my classes and tell me the ins and outs of the school. I told mya what my first hour was and she told me she was going to meet me here after class to show me to my next period . I nodddd and noticed a restroom near by, walking to it it walked to the mirror taking in my appearance. Natural curly hair flowed past my shoulder yes I'm natural but I will be installing some bundles in the near future. I wanted my hazel green eyes to pop so I added some mascara to my lashes my Carmel skin was beginning to get lighter due to it being early February.

After I was satisfied with my appearance I began to walk into my first class. The low chatter began to die down as everyone looked .i walked towards mrs.jones desk and handed her my pass she smiled at me and introduced herself then stood "hey guys this is danelle make her feel welcomed you can take any available seat" there were a few open so I chose the closest to the back. The 45 minute class flew by I met a few people they seemed cool but I didn't really care if I did or didn't . I didn't come here for friends I came for my education. Mya was outside every class like she promised , lunch came and I walked into the lunchroom throwing it my headphones. My stomach growled indicating how hungry my fat ass really was🙄. Silently praying that the food wasn't gross. Pop out by polo g went blaring through my headphones throwing me in a trans which I was knocked out of feeling a tap on my shoulder. Turning around noticing it was just mya standing there smiling, removing my headphones I gave her a friendly smile she simply asked did I want to sit with her and her friends I told her I honestly didn't mind as long as I got some food. She said a simple okay and walked with me to the lunch line to get something to eat I wasn't to sure so I got snacks instead. My fav juice simply lemonade with strawberries , starburst and two bags of smart food white cheddar popcorn. After paying for my food I followed mya to a table , I notice 4 boys and 2 girls sitting there have multiple conversations laughing. She introduced me " wassup y'all this my girl Danielle today her first day she's cool" we all exchanged heys and head nods. "That's cris , tony, Sean ,Trey , kassie and jasmine. I noticed how how pretty kassie and jasmine I just hoped they weren't full of themselves I don't won't any drama at this school. They continued there conversations and i noticed the guys were all cute well except jay he had pretty teeth and curly thick hair and dressed nice. Well from what I can tell atleast. After light conversations the questions got to coming
Jas- is this your real hair Tony- what are you mixed with? Trey- are you single😏 I laughed at all the questions and answered them " yes this my real hair ,how do you know I'm mixed and yes I'm single" tony simply replied "everyone is mixed or a different nationality around here but you most definitely have some black in you" I looked around and did a simple chuckle and I told him that I'm black and Dominican. We continued small conversations and and continued to talk amongst each other learning a lot about all of them. Mya asked for my schedule and of course everyone looked at it also and we all had classes together. Gym was next period which I had with all the boys and mya so I just walked with them there. I changed into some shorts and a tee-shirt in the locker room and went out to the gym. I noticed the only ones that were participating was the boys and like 5 girl playing volleyball I'm guessing they're on the team. I went over to the boy that were playing basketball asking what were they playing to and what was score. Chris said he was playing next I asked could I be on his team when he play he was shocked and skeptical but I insured him I could play and he allowed me to.
It was now our turn to play and they passed me the ball catching it waiting on someone to guard me. They snickered and said no because I was a girl so I shrugged and took the free 3 point "swoosh" was all you heard and shocked faces, chris smirked and joked "yea keep leaving her open " I laughed and continued to whoop some ass with Chris and 3 other guys dapped each other On our way to the locker rooms as I was stoped by our gym teacher telling me how the girls basketball team could use me and how I should talk to the coach so I said okay and I'll think about it
This long day was finally over this school is going better than I expected
