There's no escape.

No way to go back home.

But what home would she go back to?

None. There is no home.

She came to a realization,

A realization that made her lose all hope.

A realization that opened her eyes to the world.

~

Are you sure you want to start training? Shouldn't you be resting?

I think I'm good enough to train for a little while.

Akira made her way to the training grounds and mostly practiced with her own shadow clones, it was tough for the most part because they had the exact strength as her but she managed for a few hours.

"Nice technique you got there," Akira heard someone say from the shadows. She was curious as to who those familiar voices might be, especially since she was deep in the woods where she was sure nobody would disturb her.

She turned to come face to face with the sand genin she had met yesterday. All three of them were standing not too far off.

"It seems that the leaf actually does have some decent genin," says the girl of the group with a smirk.

"What do you three want?" She asked, a little annoyed that they interrupted her training session. Especially since she wanted to work on a new technique.

"Nothing, we came here to train before the exams and we just so happened to run into you," explained the girl with a cocky smirk, although it was her eyes that gave it away.

"You're lying," Akira stated bluntly, making her clones disappear for the time being.

"H-how? Is it that obvious?" Asked the puppet guy known as Kankuro.

The other stayed behind a little, studying the way she talked and her movements, like a hawk. He watched her with curiosity, not the usual death stare.

"No. Not really, I could show you three around if you want. I have no problem doing that," She offered, maybe making some friends instead of enemies, after all the sand and the leaf were allies. Besides she was lying if she said that she didn't want to get to know them, especially the red head Gaara.

"No we-"

"That'd be great," interrupted the girl, she didn't mind making a new girl friend, plus they were desperately lost all because they followed Kankuro.

"By the way I'm Temari,"

"And over there is the Hokage's office," She said, finishing up the tour that lasted at least an hour. She knew the village well but she could see how it would be easy to get lost and overwhelmed.

"I see..." mumbled the red-head, mentally noting important spots in the lead village such as the Hokage's office.

"That's basically all you need to know," She stated, not knowing what to do afterwards, they all simply stood there, staring at one another. Akira figured she might as well go back to training since it was still early in the day, but an offer came up.

"That barbecue place seemed nice, care to join us Akira?" Asked Temari with hopeful eyes. She liked the girl very much because she noticed the difference in Gaara when she was around. It seemed like he no longer had a threatening glare but a rather a bored look. He didn't look menacing, and it was the fact that she was able to have some fun with her brothers—without worrying about her life—that she enjoyed the most.
