CHAPTER 9 ( A FAMILY REUNION)

Later that day Skyla got her windows fixed and headed to her mother's house. She didn't know  what to expect, as Skyla she couldn't stand Asia but Naomi loved her; Christian was cool he loved her either way. But her parents on the other hand, what if they notice or can sense something is wrong. Skyla pulled up to her parent's house and set there for like five minutes trying to get herself together. She hasn't seen her parents in so long and she felt kind of bad for the way Naomi played them.

Skyla got out of the car and walked up to the house she took a deep breath before knocking she couldn't wait to see her father and brother. Her mother opened the door excited to see her.

"Aww you look so different baby" Mrs. Simms said as she hugged her.

"I miss you so much mom it's been so long sense I last saw you" said Skyla as she hugged her mom back

"Come on in baby, I told your brother you were coming he suppose to be on his way and your father went to the grocery store I'm cooking your favorite; roast, macaroni, spinach and corn on a cob."

"Wow you really do miss me huh" Naomi laughed

"Oh, if you don't want me to I will just finish watching my shows"

"No ma I was just playing, you know how much I love your macaroni and cheese." Naomi said while pouting like a baby

"Come sit in the kitchen with me so we can catch up on old times, do you remember how we use to have our girl talk every night before dinner" Mrs. Simms said

"Yes, and you use to let us call you Sarah to make us feel more comfortable talking to you about things" Skyla said

"I tried to get your sister to come visit but she never called back"

"Do you have pictures of the twins?"

"Yes, I will get them out in a minute"

"Is that my baby girl" Naomi's father walked in through the back door

"Hi daddy"

"Don't hi daddy me you know I'm very disappointed in you Naomi I don't care who you're with or how much me and your mother disapprove of them don't ever feel like you can't call and say hi or just to see how we are doing"

"I know daddy I'm sorry" Skyla said feeling real shitty

"Don't look so down baby girl I still luv ya" Mr. Simms said as he kissed Naomi on the forehead

"So how life been treating ya, you look so grown up now smiling that A-hole been treating you right.

"Nate stop being so rude you haven 't seen your daughter in three years and you trying to run her off already"

"Hush up Sarah Naomi isn't going anywhere she knows how her old man is" Nathaniel smiled and winked at Naomi

Sarah turned around from the stove with a cooking spoon in one hand and a towel in the other

"Who you telling to hush now don't go showing out in front of your daughter don't get hurt in this kitchen"

"Mmhhmm"

"Mumble all you want to" Said Sara

"Hit him in the head with the spoon ma" Christian (19) said walking into the kitchen

"Awe shut up mamma's boy "Nate said as he was taking the trash out

"Hey bro what's up" Said Skyla

Christian looked at Naomi like she was crazy

"Why are you looking at me like that Chris?" Said Skyla

Then she remembered Naomi called him by his government name and Skyla called him bro or Chris. Skyla eyes got wide she just knew he was about to say something.
