AN: Hello everyone who watches this amazing show! I'm still a little hesitant on starting this fanfic because I know no matter what I write, it won't be as good as the actual show and it might be a fool's errand, but I'm gonna try. If you don't watch this show, what are you doing with your life? WATCH IT NOW. As for those of you who have watched it, PLEASE COMMENT BELOW I NEED MORE DIRK GENTLY FRIENDS. Those who have watched the show know that it does not hesitate on language, violence etc, so for that reason, this story is rated M. Chapter 1: Blackwing

Dirk's P.O.V

The mystery was solved. Farah, Todd and I sat in a restaurant, everything seemingly normal. Where would we go now that everything was over? Would they abandon me like all the others did? To be honest, I was relieved when Farah suggested making the investment in our detective agency, which isn't completely real yet but isn't totally fake either. Dirk Gently's Holistic detective agency. I could see it already. They might even make tv shows about us! Which might be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. Farah and Todd agreed that they wanted to stay off the shiny sign I plan on getting soon. And since I changed my name from when Blackwing first found me, they won't have any idea that it's really me! Right?

"Dirk?" Farah asked, and I vaguely noticed that Todd had left to use the bathroom. "Are you alright?"

This had been happening a lot to me over the past few days; the universe would lead me where I needed to go and wherever that was, something strange and wonderful would happen. But today felt different for some reason; like my life was about to change and something terrible would happen. There was just something...not right. You know the feeling of dread? It was like that, only worse. Like the feeling of not-dread, as if something had already happened and there wasn't time to dread it.

"Farah, would you excuse me for a moment?" I asked, feeling the sudden urge that something was happening outside, and I needed to go see what it was. "Just...a moment."

I wanted to tell her what was going on; I might need her help with her punchy kicking fighting skills, but I felt like I needed to do this on my own. I looked around for signs of anything happening on this busy street, but all seemed normal. That is, until my foot brushed a small flier on the ground 'Lux Dejour, a reunion. One night only. We'll never let you go.' The blood rushed to my head as dread overwhelmed me and I turned to the right to see...Hugo, the idiot who was with General Riggins last time I saw him. Turns out he wasn't so much of an idiot after all...and I couldn't help it when my mind picked up on why he was here.

"Not now..." I moaned, never wanting to go back with Blackwing again, not after what they did to me the first time.

Before I had time to react or time to fight back, someone came up from behind me and knocked me out. I didn't know where I was or where I was going, but I knew that I wouldn't see Todd or Farah for a long time. I just hoped they cared enough to find me...

I woke up in a dark alleyway, and I wasn't completely sure where I was or if I was really awake. Dreams can be strange like that sometimes. You never really know for sure. For all I knew this was a flashback. My body racked with sobs as if something terrible had just happened. And as I looked up to get a better idea of my surroundings, something terrible had indeed just happened. I was in the alleyway I had hidden in to get away from General Riggins and that idiot Hugo after he had attacked me on the stairs and Riggins asked me to come back to Blackwing with him. As if I would ever go back after what he did to me. After what he promised and how it never happened.
