Dear Henry,
It seems like a lifetime since we worked on cartoons together.
30 years really slips away, doesn't it?
If you're back in town, come visit the old workshop.
There's something I need to show you.
Your Best Pal, Joey Drew
Henry had probably read over the letter about a hundred times now, and he still couldn't believe it. Nobody had been able to get a hold of Joey for YEARS! Yet out of the blue he gets a letter in the mail from his old friend. But what could be so important that he had to see it for himself? Could Joey not have just mention it in the letter?

"Alright, Joey. I'm here. Let's see if we can find what you wanted me to see." Henry walked through the door of the workshop and was taken aback by the mess. Man, Joey had really let this place go. It looked as if no one had been there since the shop closed.
Henry walked forward when his foot brushed against something. He chuckled when he looked down and saw a small Bendy stuffed animal. Bendy had always been their most popular character. When Joey first came up with the idea a lot of people were concerned about having a kid's show centered on a little demon. Once the first show came out though all of the employees were hooked. Everyone loved working on Bendy.

Henry had been listing to different audio recordings and one thing that always came up was Joey's 'Ink Machine'. So when he finally found it he wasn't sure what to expect. "So, this is the Ink Machine, huh? Wonder how you turn it on." He walked around the room but it seemed the power switch was in a different room.
Henry was starting to get frustrated. Joey asked him to come here yet he was nowhere to be found. Things weren't right around here. Everywhere he went he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched...

A tiny demon watched Henry examine the machine from a distance. Bendy chuckled as he left the room to search for a power switch. He knew sending that letter to Henry was a good idea. Ever since Joey went into hiding years ago, Bendy had been lonely. Joey was only half way finished making Boris and he hadn't got around to making Alice before he left. This meant that Bendy didn't have any friends to play with. He smirked "Time to have some fun with my 'best pal' Henry..."

Henry was almost to the power room when suddenly a beam fell from the ceiling. "Huh?" he looked up. "Joey really needs to hire an exterminator. It looks like he's got termites."
Bendy huffed as Henry walked past the fallen beam. "Termites?! I'm not a termite!" he would have to try harder if he wanted to freak out Henry. He grabbed a bucket of Ink and a paint brush. "This'll scare his socks off for sure!"

Henry sighed as he walked through the workshop searching for the objects. This machine of Joey's was seeming freakier by the moment. He walked into a room and his eyes widened. He walked over to the wall "'Dreams come true'...? Was this here earlier?" he touched his hand to the wall and realized the writing was still fresh. His fingers were covered in black-y ink. "Joey?" Henry called out, convinced that this must have been some prank his friend was pulling on him.
"Oh come on!" Bendy through his paint brush on the floor as Henry walked out of the room. "Joey didn't write that! I did! Ugh!" he rolled his inky eyes then smiled "I guess I'll just have to try harder..."

"What the heck?!" Henry's heart started racing. He had turned around for a SECOND! But, when he looked back a Bendy stand up was in front of him. "Ha ha Joey." Henry calmed down "It was funny but you can come out now." He waited but there was no answer. Henry sighed "I guess he wants me to finish turning on the machine." He walked away from the Bendy and went to get the last few objects.
Bendy was upset now. No matter what he did Henry just blew off his pranks! He was supposed to freak out! "Fine if that's how you want to play it..." he smirked almost evilly "This time I'm not holding back..."

"Finally!" Henry smiled as power surged through the building. He had finally collected all the objects. Now to find Joey... "He's probably with the Ink Machine..." Henry backtracked through the building. Something was off when he reached the Ink Machine room. "Why is it boarded up...?"
He inched his way closer when suddenly ink exploded everywhere. A LIVE Bendy, covered in ink, grabbed him by the shirt collar. "BOO!" Henry screamed and struggled to get away. He slipped and fell into a puddle of ink behind him. He was about to start running when... Bendy started laughing...? "Oh your face was PRICELESS!"
Suddenly the ink disappeared from his face and it looked like just a normal Bendy sketch. But it was talking?! Henry knew he had lost it when a TALKING Bendy reached a hand out to him and helped him up. "Hey you okay Henry?" the voice sounded almost childlike "You look kind of pale..."
"WH-who are you?!" Henry stuttered.
"Um... I'm Bendy. Duh!" Bendy cocked his head "Did you hit your head or somethin'? I mean you did draw my cartoon for YEARS!"
"You're... Bendy?" he nodded and smiled "How... did Joey do this?"
"Yep!" he popped the 'p' at the end. "Joey wanted to bring me, Boris, and Alice to life. He made me first then started working on Boris. Only apparently I wasn't supposed to be able to think for myself. That scared him so he ran away before finishing the others." He looked sad "I've been here by myself ever since..."
It finally dawned on Henry "It was YOU! You wrote those things on the wall, and the beam, and the stand up!"
Bendy grinned "Yeah that was me! Sorry, I just wanted to freak you out a bit. Then I was going to tell you it was me. Only you never got scared! So I finally had to pull out all the stops!"
Henry laughed "Well you really got me on that last one!" Bendy laughed with him. "So..." he looked around the workshop. "No one comes here anymore?" Bendy shook his head. "That's a shame... I think I should fix that..."

A few months later the Silly Vision Studios were reopened. Many of the old employees had come back; it was like nothing had changed. Well... a few things had... Henry was now in charge. Everyone agreed that he was a good boss. He was even able to get along with Sammy Lawrence! And that was a true marvel. (That guy could be super weird sometimes.)
There was ONE other noticeable change. Everyone loved the certain little 'demon' that would run around the studio playing pranks. They were never anything harmful, just little tricks. Susie Campbell once found a fake spider in her shoe, Norman Polk found his coffee was replaced with 'Bacon Soup', and Wally Franks once got a face full of whip cream after opening a supply closet. Everyone loved having Bendy around and they all agreed that Henry had done the right thing by bringing back the studio to keep him company. Because even little demons could get lonely. But now, he never would again...
The End.
(A/N - Well guys I hope you enjoyed my little one shot. The third chapter of Bendy and the Ink Machine comes out in September so I thought now would be the perfect time to write a little story for it. Again I hope you liked it and thanks for reading! :) P.S. I can't wait for chapter 3! Alice!!!!! :) Okay I'm done. :) Bye!)
