~Arthur's POV~
"Alfred?" I asked again, it took him a minute to react. He finally looked at me and relaxed slightly. I wish I would have packed Xanax, he said he would be fine and I foolishly believed him. I sighed and pulled him into a hug, allowing him to lean his head on my shoulder as I rubbed soothing patterns on his back. He completely relaxed and I kissed his forehead softly.
Usually I'm not one for PDA, but it's a different story when Alfred is upset. I just wish he wasn't such a git, he always pretended to be brave around me even though I've told him numerous times he doesn't have to. I would never admit it to him, but he is my hero. I watched him peacefully sleep for a while, before eventually falling asleep myself.
~time skip~
I woke up feeling turbulence, I yawned rubbing my arms. I looked down, expecting to see Alfred still sleeping, he was a heavy sleeper. I was shocked to see him having a panic attack in the seat. The sight of him broke my heart. His blond hair was all over the place, his knees were clutched to his chest, sobbing silently, except for his rare gasps of breath. I quickly wrapped my arms around, comforting him to the best of my ability. "Alfred dear, calm down. It's okay. It's just turbulence, you are fine love". He didn't respond no noise being heard, beside his choked sobs. "Alfred?" I realized he was barely breathing, almost panicking myself. "Alfred calm down. Y-you need to breath". He still didn't answer me and I felt tears gather in my eyes. "Alfred breathe!" I screamed desperately, I didn't care who was looking at us. He snapped his head up and looked at me his face pale as he took a deep breath. He slowly started to breathe normally and stopped sobbing.
~20 minutes later~
~3rd person POV~
The American sniffled as he held Arthur closely. "I'm scared…" he whispered.
Arthur simply held him closer, "I know".
The turbulence had stopped and a woman tapped on the Brit's shoulder. "Oh dear, my sincerest apologies ma'am. I'm sorry to be a disturbance. He has a fear of flying due to past events. My bloody idiotic arse forgot to bring Xanax and he was being a condescending git who convinced me he was fine".
She looked at the blond confused for a moment, before smiling. "Oh no! Don't I'm not mad. I just happen to have some Xanax with me a-and was wondering if you needed some" She offered a small white package holding two pills the label reading 'Xanax'.
"Thank you dear" Arthur accepted it getting Alfred to take it with a bottle of water.
"No problem anything to help. I'm Marinette Agreste, by the way".
"I'm Arthur Kirkland and this is Alfred"
Alfred lifted his head to look at her, "Thanks dude you are a hero" he said softly, throat hurting from crying. She giggled nervously, the blondes looked at her confused on why it was so funny and why she seemed so nervous. Marinette smiled at them returned to her seat, tripping on the way. A blond, who they assumed was her husband helped her up, teasing her. It seemed like she was rather clumsy from how casually the couple acted about her falling. Clumsy or not Arthur was grateful she had helped, he didn't know how he would handle it if Alfred had another attack. He looked over at the sleeping American, smiling and reading his book. He would most likely finish it by the time they got to Scotland.
