"Sakura!" A familiar voice yells behind the door.
I get out of bed and walk to the front door.
"Naruto! What the heck?" I say, opening the apartment door.
"Heya Sakura..." Naruto says.
"What now?" I ask.
"I just wanted to tell you that, I'm leaving on a mission... to bring back Sasuke." He says.
"You're leaving?" I ask. I didn't want him to go because I couldn't bear to lose another friend.
"If you don't want me to, I'll stay here." He says.
"Thanks Naruto, but... you should bring back Sasuke. For both of us." I say.
"Ok. Goodbye Sakura. I'll see you soon." He says.
"Goodbye Naruto..." I say.
He walks down the hall. Something inside me made me feel terribly sad seeing him go.
I ran after him, and hugged him.
"...Stay safe." I say, leaving my head against his chest.
I could tell he was shocked.
"... I will." He says.

It had been 3 weeks since Naruto left.
I was so worried.
I couldn't stop thinking about him.
Was I really developing feelings for him?
No.

True. We had been friends for years.
