It was 9:27. I decided to check the village gate.
Hoping that Naruto and the others that joined the search would return today.
After the first week, I would go to the gate to wait for them.
I've waited two weeks for their return. And so far, nothing. No sign. It made me so worried. If anything happened...
I can't bear to lose another friend.
So of course, this morning I head out.
I stand there, patiently.
A few hours pass by, but I don't leave.
I'll stay as long as I have to.
Soon, I hear running. I had sat and leaned against the gate, so I perked my head up.
Then I saw it.
That bright orange jumpsuit and spiky yellow hair.
Naruto.
As the team reached the gate, I ran to embrace him.
"I'm so glad you're safe." I whisper.
"I'm sorry Sakura... no luck this time..." Naruto says.
"It's okay... I'm just glad you're home safe." I say.

I go to his apartment with him to hang out.
He is very tired, and... wounded.
Is left leg is bleeding badly.
"Oh Naruto." I say, wrapping his leg with bandages. "You just had to get yourself hurt, didn't you." I say.
"Heh, that's me." Naruto jokes.
I start using medical jutsu to heal his leg.
"So, did you see him?" I asked.
"Yes. But he got away. Some skills Orochimaru must have taught him. He was there, then gone with no trace. No scent. Kakashi's ninja hounds couldn't even catch a single scent." He says.
"Oh well. Maybe next time." I say.
"Wow, I can never believe how quickly your injuries heal." I say.
"Are you hungry?" I ask him.
"Yea, but I can get it myself." Naruto says, and starts to get up.
"No Naruto, I'll make it." I say.
