You woke up by your phone’s alarm playing your favorite song and you looked on the screen sleepy.

3 months

You smiled as you turned off the alarm. You were clean from cutting for three months now and your boyfriend Luke promised you to spend a special day with you when you reach this day.
Your phone made another noise and as you looked on the screen you saw a message from Luke.

Hey babe. Congratulations, you did it! I’m so proud of you! Just take a shower and I’ll be there with breakfast. Xx

You smiled and got out of the bed to take a shower just like Luke said you should do. You took your time and after half an hour you came out of the bathroom, your hair half dried and in a messy bun, dressed in Luke’s boxers and one of his shirts he left over at your place.
“You look gorgeous.” Luke said as you walked down the stairs where he was waiting for you. He hugged you and kissed your forehead.
“Thank you.” You mumbled, still not used to all the compliments you got from Luke. You were together for nearly five months and you still couldn’t believe he was yours and you were his.
After a while he found about your scars and that you still cut and he really wanted to help you and asked you for your reasons and you told him everything. From the bullying to all the arguments with your parents and that you felt worthless and all that stuff. He made you promise to try to stop cutting. You really wanted to do that you hated what you did to yourself.
Luke gave you a bracelet after you was clean for a week and necklace as you were a month clean and he told you every day how much he loved you and how wonderful you were.

“I got your favorite bagels at your favorite bagel store.” Luke said to you and took your hand as he walked into the kitchen with you behind him.
“But this store is at the other end of the town and pretty expensive.” You shook your head in disbelieve but Luke only laughed and kissed you softly on the lips.
“I’ll do anything for you today. It’s a special day.” He whispered and brushed some hair out of your face.
“Thank you.” You smiled and you both sat down to eat the breakfast Luke brought with him.
“What do you want to do today?” Luke asked you and you shrugged your shoulders before you had an idea.
“Can we stay here? Just having a movie day and cuddle all day and talk?” You suggested and Luke took your hand and kissed it like a thousand times.
“Everything you want, love.” He said and you blushed.

“I only stopped for you.” You said a few hours later as you laid in your bed with Luke, your favorite movie playing on your TV.
“That means a lot to me.” He answered you and kissed your temple.
“I didn’t want to disappoint you and I wanted to me strong for you. And I never wanted to break a promise I gave you.” You explained and Luke hugged you closer to his body. Your head laid on his chest and you could hear his heartbeat.
“You could never disappoint me. I know how hard it have to be for you to stop and I’m proud for every day you didn’t cut and I’ll always be proud for every day you’ll be still clean. And I would never break a promise I give you.” Luke looked you into your eyes and you couldn’t help but smile.
“I love you.” You said and Luke kissed you quickly.
“I love you more.” He grinned and you slapped his chest playfully.
“I don’t think so. I love you more.” You stuck your tongue out and Luke laughed.
“Never in a million years.” He answered and you laughed.
“Are you really quoting One Direction now?” You asked and Luke pouted so you kissed him.
“We both love you equally, right?” You said and your boyfriend nodded before he pulled you on top of him to cuddle and kiss you better.
